Your enjoyment playing NosTale is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’ve decided to open a new international server and merge some language servers together.
We’ve put together an FAQ covering everything about the new server and the server merge. Let’s start with the new server:
New International Server
The international server is the first one to be launched independent of language region. Enjoy an exciting start on the new server, and play in the language of your choice thanks to the multi-language client.

[h3]Eight languages in one chat? Won’t that get messy?
[/h3]We thought about that, and as it’s an international server, we wanted to give everyone the chance to play here and use their own language. Otherwise we might as well just be launching another English server! Players who aren’t interested in seeing a mix of languages will still be able to play on the servers in their regions where the language is restricted. Nevertheless, we’ll be keeping an eye on the situation, and may choose to restrict the language(s) used in the chat at a later date, should things get out of hand.
[h3]What about support? Which languages will that be provided in?
[/h3]Ticket support for the international server will only be available in English.
[h3]Where can I go for server-related discussions?
[/h3]We’ll have separate channels for the new server on our Discord server. And if there’s demand for it, we’ll also consider opening an extra category on the forum.
[h3]Are you planning anything special for the server launch?
[/h3]As has become tradition for our server launches, we have a range of events and special offers planned for the launch. We’ll release more details on those over the coming days.
Server Merge
We’re merging the following servers together:
- DE7 Paimon + DE2 Fortuna = Fortuna
- ES6 Carno + ES1 EU-Infinity = EU-Infinity
- FR7 Kirollas + FR2 Galaxie = Galaxie
- IT5 Solaris + IT1 Flare = Flare
- PL6 Belial + PL1 Feniks = Feniks
No changes have been made to any servers not mentioned.

[h3]How was it decided which servers to merge together?
[/h3]We conducted extensive analysis of the servers and are merging them in such a way that we can ensure a balanced population and activity levels on all servers after the merge.
[h3]What happens if I have characters on multiple servers which are being transferred onto the same one?
[/h3]You have a total of four character slots available. If you have more characters than that, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. The remaining characters will not be lost, however, only deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.
Please note that you only have one active slot for Martial Artists.
There are multiple situations which can arise and will be solved as follows (the Swordsman, Archer and Mage classes are referred to here as ‘original’ classes):
Situation 1: Three original classes and no Martial Artists
Three slots will be occupied by your original class characters, and the fourth slot remains empty until you create another character.
Situation 2: Four original class characters and no Martial Artists
All four slots will be occupied by your characters.
Situation 3: More than three original class characters and no Martial Artists
If you don’t have any Martial Artists, all four slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking characters. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
Situation 4: More than four original class characters and at least one Martial Artist
Three slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
Situation 5: Less than three original class characters and at least one Martial Artist
The slots will be occupied by your original class characters, the remaining slots remain empty until you create more original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining Martial Artists will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.
[h3]How do I activate/deactivate my characters?
[/h3]Follow these simple steps to activate/deactivate a character:
- Open the Gameforge Client and select NosTale.
- Click on Settings to open the account settings. Here you’ll land on the relevant NosTale webpage where you can check your character list.
- If you have more than four characters and would like to play with one of your deactivated characters, select an active character and click on the character you’d like to play with. The two will be swapped.
- Please note that you only have one active slot for Martial Artists.
You can change your active characters on the website at any time.
[h3]What happens to families?
[/h3]Active families will be transferred to the relevant target server. Only families whose members have been inactive for the last 180 days, or families with fewer than 4 members and a family level below 4 will be deleted.
[h3]What happens to the family warehouse?
[/h3]Items from the family warehouse will be sent to the Family Head by parcel.
[h3]What happens when two or more characters have the same name?
[/h3]The first criteria for choosing who keeps the name is whichever character was online in the last 90 days. The others will be renamed.
If multiple characters were online in the last 90 days, then the character which is (at least) 10 levels higher than the others keeps the name.
Should there be a tie even after taking both of these criteria into account, then the older character (according to creation date) will keep their name.
If your character is forced to change, you will be presented with a window allowing you to change their name after selecting the character following the merge.
[h3]What happens when two or more families have the same name?
[/h3]If multiple families have the same name on the target server, then the older family gets to keep it. Newer families are automatically renamed as follows: ‘merge_number’. Please contact the Support team to change the family name manually.
[h3]What happens to items in the warehouse?
[/h3]Your items in the warehouse will be sent by parcel to your highest-level character.
[h3]What happens to items in the NosMall which aren’t claimed?
[/h3]The unclaimed items from the NosMall will be sent by parcel to your highest-level active character.
[h3]What happens to active auctions in the NosBazaar?
[/h3]All active offers in the NosBazaar will be cancelled before the merge and then sent to the respective characters by parcel.
[h3]What happens to friends lists and spouses?
[/h3]As far as possible, friends lists and spouses will be merged on the target servers.
[h3]Will the rankings be reset?
[/h3]No, all player ranks on the target servers will be newly calculated and adjusted.
[h3]What happens to the blacklist?
[/h3]The blacklist will be deleted during the merge.
[h3]My character/account is deleted. Will the data be transferred anyway?
[/h3]Yes, even deleted characters/accounts will be transferred. If you wish to restore your data, this is still possible.
[h3]Do I have to delete or select the characters to be activated after the transfer before the server merge?
[/h3]No, your characters will be activated automatically.
[h3]What happens to my Gold and the items in my inventory?
[/h3]Both your Gold and the items in your inventory will be transferred to the target server.
[h3]Do I need to reinstall the game after the server merge?
[/h3]No, you can launch the game just the same as before.
[h3]Do my login details remain unchanged?
[/h3]Yes, you can log in as usual with your credentials. If you have more than 4 characters in total, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. The remaining characters will not be lost, however, only deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.
