Info on Planned Server Merge

Dear players,
We’re soon merging some language servers to improve your gaming experience in NosTale! This will make it easier for us to merge servers in future, as well as allow us to launch international event servers in future.
[h2]The Merge[/h2]
The following servers are being merged:
- The servers RU Erenia, TR Sunucu and CZ Aeros are being merged into EN1 NosCitadel.
- The server ES3 Theia is being merged into EN2 Cylloan.

[h3]Server Merge FAQ[/h3]
In order to improve your gaming experience in NosTale, we’ve seized the moment and merged together some language servers. You’ll find all the details to these merges in this FAQ.
[h3]Which servers are being merged?[/h3]
- RU Erenia + TR Sunucu + CZ Aeros → EN1 NosCitadel
- ES3 Theia → EN2 Cylloan
No changes have been made to any servers not mentioned.
[h3]How was it decided which servers to merge together?[/h3]
We conducted extensive analysis of the servers and are merging them in such a way that we can ensure a balanced population and activity levels on all servers after the merge.
[h3]What happens to families?[/h3]
Active families will be transferred to the relevant target server. Only families whose members have been inactive for the last 180 days, or families with fewer than 4 members and a family level below 4 will be deleted.
[h3]What happens to the family warehouse?[/h3]
Items from the family warehouse will be sent to the Family Head by parcel.
[h3]What happens when two or more characters have the same name?[/h3]
The first criteria for choosing who keeps the name is whichever character was online in the last 90 days. The others will be renamed.
If multiple characters were online in the last 90 days, then the character which is (at least) 10 levels higher than the others keeps the name.
Should there be a tie even after taking both of these criteria into account, then the older character (according to creation date) will keep their name.
If your character is forced to change, you will be presented with a window allowing you to change their name after selecting the character following the merge.
[h3]What happens when two or more families have the same name?[/h3]
If multiple families have the same name on the target server, then the older family gets to keep it. Newer families are automatically renamed as follows: ‘merge_number’. Please contact the Support team to change the family name manually.
[h3]What happens to items in the warehouse?[/h3]
Your items in the warehouse will be sent by parcel to your highest-level character.
[h3]What happens to items in the NosMall which aren’t claimed?[/h3]
The unclaimed items from the NosMall will be sent by parcel to your highest-level active character.
[h3]What happens to active auctions in the NosBazaar?[/h3]
All active offers in the NosBazaar will be cancelled before the merge and then sent to the respective characters by parcel.
[h3]What happens to friends lists and spouses?[/h3]
As far as possible, friends lists and spouses will be merged on the target servers.
[h3]Will the rankings be reset?[/h3]
No, all player ranks on the target servers will be newly calculated and adjusted.
[h3]What happens to the blacklist?[/h3]
The blacklist will be deleted during the merge.
[h3]My character/account is deleted. Will the data be transferred anyway?[/h3]
Yes, even deleted characters/accounts will be transferred. If you wish to restore your data, this is still possible.
[h3]Do I have to delete or select the characters to be activated after the transfer before the server merge?[/h3]
No, your characters will be activated automatically.
[h3]What happens to my Gold and the items in my inventory?[/h3]
Both your Gold and the items in your inventory will be transferred to the target server.
[h3]Do I need to reinstall the game after the server merge?[/h3]
No, you can launch the game just the same as before.
[h3]Do my login details remain unchanged?[/h3]
Yes, you can log in as usual with your credentials. If you have more than 4 characters in total, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. The remaining characters will not be lost, however, only deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.
[h3]Can I now play the game in my language on every server?[/h3]
You can create a new character on servers in other countries using your account, irrespective of the language you use in the client. Please consider however that the language in the chat on these servers may be handled differently.
[h3]How can I find my server in the server overview?[/h3]
Players from Czechia, Russia and Turkey will find their characters on server 1 UK-NosCitadel in the English server section.
Players from ES2 Theia (America) will now find their characters on server 2 US-Cylloan in the English server section.
All other players’ characters are on the usual servers in their own language section.
By the way, the indicators now tell you how many characters you have on each server, making the selection easier to navigate.
[h3]Can I change the client language?[/h3]
Yes, you can change the language in the Gameforge Client or on Steam and continue playing with your characters on your server.
[h3]Can I move my character to a different server?[/h3]
No, that isn’t possible at the moment.
[h3]Do I need to select my server language in the overview every time?[/h3]
The last language used will be automatically pre-selected next time.
[h3]My game won’t start or not in the language I want. What can I do?[/h3]
Restart the Gameforge Client completely so that the latest version is downloaded. Make sure the update is fully complete before you start it again.
[h3]The links in the client are sending me to websites in the wrong language. How can I fix that?[/h3]
This behaviour is linked to the display language chosen in the Gameforge Client. You can change this in the options at any time.
