Stereo Overdrive Arachnida Outfit for Sonata

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
During a hefty Lethal League Match between Doombox and Sonata, Doombox suddenly transformed back into his Boombox form and spit out an indescribable entity. Sonata was taken aback at the way it crept towards her when it suddenly leaped at her. Sonata's vision faded and her mind spiralled out of consciousness... When she came to, she could feel the beat of her boomhammer flow through her veins. This is not bad at all...

The alternate version of the Stereo Overdrive Arachnida outfit is the Midnight Tinnitus:
Doombox Gigahertz Visualizer
You might be wondering how Doombox came in possession of that entity ... with his outfits now available as a standalone DLC, we have that story for you as well!

After one of his many rampages Doombox woke up chained up in a brightly lit laboratory. Pretending to be in stand-by mode, he overheard the heated discussions of his captors. "It's still subject A1, it just fused with a boombox somehow. The energy signal is not unique, that's why you destroyed that lab in South Shine City instead". "We had to use the cannon!! There was no other way!". Doombox couldn't care less about them. He blasted his chains off and shattered all the glass in the room. A half-liquid entity dripped down on him from a canister labeled B1. That was the last thing he remembered.
Community Survey
We are through all of the latest survey input! If you remember the result charts from the previous two rounds, here is the one from this round in the same format. It got a bit crowded! The biggest takeaways compared to February are:
  • Candyman has dropped, but is still considered the best
  • Grid has recovered from last place
  • Dust and Ashes have made the largest drop for any character and are now considered last

We had less total votes, but a lot more text submissions and the first result of that is already apart of the game: the improved matchmaking!

You can see more detailed results and answers under #BlazeSurveyResponse and talk with other players about them on our discord:

Better Matchmaking is live

  • added a countdown when a ranked lobby of a different division is available
    • the accepted difference expands by one division every 3 seconds

    • eventually matches up even with a maximum difference
  • removed rank down buffers from divisions 7 to 1

  • players are only entered onto the leaderboard when they enter ranked mode

Better Matchmaking incoming!

Season 6 has begun and we are bringing a few changes for it next week!
better matchmaking
A matchmaking timer will create more opportunity to find better matching opponents.

If you enter ranked mode and get a countdown, that means there is a player available that doesn't have the same division as you. The smaller the difference, the earlier you get matched up with them.
rank down buffer limited to division 8
It was possible to exploit the buffer that requires you to lose two times before going down a division for progressing through the ranks. This also generated an excess amount of points on the board.

To combat both of these issues, the buffer is now limited to division 8. Season 6 may last longer than the previous ones as a result.
community tournaments
There are several community tournaments lined up on multiple platforms, here are the ones played on Steam:

The Swingbait Special, a global tournament happening in a few hours.

The Blaze vs. LL1, a global tournament happening in a week - where the losers bracket is played in the first Lethal League game! It has a prize pool tied to the number of entrants and a player bounty.

And the Buntfest 2020 at the end of the month, a European tournament with a prize pool of 100€ and a bonus prize for the best corpse juggle during the tournament stream.

If you want to join any of the tournaments, they are all happening on discord:
