The weekend is coming again and that means time for another weekend event!

For this weekend event we'll have it live the following period of time:

 

START: February 28, 2020 12:00 PM (CET)

END: March 2, 2020 12:00 PM (CET)
 



 

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:

• Survival Super Zombie Hunt (SURV)
  All super zombies in the Survival game-mode have upgraded loot. This means there is a higher chance they drop better items.
   
• Caliwood Double Game Dollars (OW)
  All official Caliwood maps will give players double game dollars. Players can get game dollars from killing zombies and / or other players.
   
• Battle Royale Loot Upgrade (BR)
  The loot in the Battle Royale game-mode has gotten an upgrade. Weapons and other items that are normally unavailable in the Battle Royale game-mode now are. This goes for any item.
   
• Rocky Ford Headshot ONLY (PVP)
  A new temporary Rocky Ford PVP map will be live with the head shot ONLY feature enabled. This feature means that you can only kill / do damage to other players when they land shots on the head. Enjoy!
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Arena to Tropico.

This weekend we have some new events that we haven't done before! Next to the Battle Royale Airdrop + Zombie upgrade (loot) we have a tactical coin hunt event, Clearview action with double reputation and high jump and survival zombie weekend where zombies drop more and better loot.

Also, with the new "Infestation: Battle Royale" release we would like to remind players that all the Battle Royale leaderboards are going to be reset. High ranked players in the all-time leaderboards for this game-mode will be rewarded with a unique reward. Also, loot changes can take some time to affect and be updated on live servers. Please keep this in mind. It really depends on the server type how fast the loot gets updated. In case you have a private server, after this event announcement, don't let anyone log in for at least 20 minutes and loot should be updated instantly.

 

For this weekend event we'll have it live the following period of time:

 

START: February 21, 2020 12:00 PM (CET)

END: February 24, 2020 12:00 PM (CET)
 



 

Now, let's jump into further details about this weekend's weekend event:

• Tactical Coin Hunt Event. (OW)
  All the loot drop chances for the Tactical Coins (only in the Open World game-mode) have been buffed and doubled! This means that your chance on finding any of the (3) normal, epic or legendary tactical coins is double for this weekend only! Good luck on finding them.
   
• Clearview Action! (PVP)
  All reputation gained by players gaining reputation on the Clearview PVP map is doubled! Next to that we have enabled the high jump feature!
   
• Survival Zombie Weekend. (SURV)
  Regular zombies in the Survival game-mode only have been buffed for this weekend only. They will not only drop more but also better items.
   
• Battle Royale Airdrop Upgrade. (BR)
  The loot spawning from airdrops in the Battle Royale game-mode has significantly been improved. For this weekend you'll be able to get high tier snipers and assault rifles from the random appearing airdrops. Next to this we have also slightly buffed the loot dropped by regular zombies.
   

• ROUTINE: Battle Royale Map Rotation
  As always, the main and only Battle Royale map will be changed. This time we are changing over from Arizona V2 to Arena.

We are proud to announce the upcoming release of Infestation: Battle Royale on Steam!

Infestation: BR is a zombie-infested Battle Royale set in the classic Infestation/WarZ environment. While much is recognizable, this release features massive updates, such as a 64-bit engine, new maps, new content, ranking system, friends system and season passes!

Play alone or in groups of 3 in 100-player matches set in various maps including the classic Colorado. Earn rewards and make your way up the ranking system in this fast-paced Battle Royale. All this in a fair environment thanks to the custom made Fredaikis Anti-Cheat (FAC).

• WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE CURRENT BATTLE ROYALE MODE?

What started out as a beta has now grown so big that we decided it's time to make Battle Royale its own game. BR will be lifted out of New Z before the release and added to the launcher and Steam as a separate game. By doing so we hope to raise the attention of new players, and also players who are into Battle Royale games but not necessarily survival.  For the patch set for early March/late February we are bringing a lot of new content both to The New Z and Battle Royale such as Colorado V1 BR, massive vehicle improvements, performance optimizations, 64-bit gameplay, new loot with new spawn mechanisms etc.

• CAN I STILL USE MY NEW Z ACCOUNT? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY PURCHASED CONTENT?

Don't worry, you will still use the same account in order to log in. You will not lose anything from the splitting, all skins, sprays and other content which you've purchased in New Z will still be available in the new Battle Royale game.
 

• OK, SO THE ACCOUNTS WILL STILL BE LINKED?

Correct, things like experience, season passes, account subscriptions will still be synced over both games, just like before. If you make a purchase in Infestation: Battle Royale it will be availible in The New Z and vice versa.
 

• WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE CURRENT LEADERBOARDS?

As this in a way means that Battle Royale is stepping out of Beta, hopefully with a great influx of new players - we feel that it makes sense to also reset the current leaderboards. This will be done on the Steam launch date - 4th of March - and high ranked players will be contacted and granted a special reward.
 

• I DON'T PLAY BATTLE ROYALE, HOW IS THIS BENEFICIAL FOR ME?

Our hope is that this will as well raise the public's attention to New Z and that it will help bring an influx of players to both games!
 

• WHAT ABOUT NEW Z, WILL IT BE LEFT BEHIND?

NO! Together with the BR separation we are patching The New Z into patch 3.0! With the 64-bit additions and focus on performance improvements and bugs lately we think it's time for New Z to step into the next stage and we aim to bring you updates just like we have been for the past 4 years!
More info about patch 3.0 will come at a later stage!

Are you ready to take New Z as your Valentine's Day date? Starting today we have a lot of awesome events planned including double XP, daily login rewards, a valentine 2020 box, contracts & a lot more!

 

Welcome to the official Valentine 2020 event announcement!

 

Before we jump into any event details let's make it clear over what period of time this event is taking place:

 

Start: February 11, 12:00 PM (CET) 2020.

End: February 17, 12:00 PM (CET) 2020.

 

Now, let's jump into the details of the event:

 

Double XP & GD:

• During this Valentine event there will be a Double XP event. This Double XP event will be for all game-modes. The Double XP event will take place the following time and date:
  
  Double XP ALL GAME-MODES:
  Start: Friday, February 14, 00:01 AM (CET) 2020.
  End: Friday, February 14, 23:59 PM (CET) 2020.
  
  

 

Valentine 2020 Content:

• During the event we will release some new items. Here is a list and how to get them:
  
  All the new content:
   
  • Valentine 2020 Box:
    Will be available in the in-game marketplace and findable in-game but very rare.
    
  • Skins:
    The following will only be available from the Valentine 2020 Box:
    
  • Returning Skins:
    Skins from previous Valentine events will not return.
     
  • Sprays:
    The following will only be available from the Valentine 2020 Box or directly from the in-game marketplace:
    
     
  • Character Clothes:
    Will only be directly available through the character customize menu. (You can buy them there)
    
    Also, some character clothes will come back from previous years so keep an eye open in the selection.
     
  • Items:
    The following items will be ONLY available during the event:
    
  • Returning Items:
    And these items are returning from previous years:
    

 

Loot:

• During the Valentine 2020 event there will be advanced loot tables including all the items mentioned above spawning.
  All of the loot mentioned above will be spawning in both game-modes. However, for Survival, chances will vary and not be the same as in the Open World game-mode.
  This also includes:
  • Valentine themed zombies. (all game-modes) These zombies will drop and sometimes be equipped with Valentine themed items.
  • Valentine type of loot will be dropped all over the maps. (all game-modes)

 

Valentine 2020 Contract:

• During the Valentine 2020 event we will release two new Valentine 2020 contracts. These contracts will be available in both the Survival and Open World game-mode. You'll be able to get these contracts by finding them in the game or by opening a Valentine 2020 box. When activating any of the contracts you'll have to collect either 25 Valentine hearts or 25 Valentine keys. When this is done you'll receive 1 free Valentine 2020 box.

 

Valentine 2020 Seasonal Leaderboard:

• The event leaderboard is back! This time the leaderboard will be active for the same date and times as the main event. That is: 
  
  Start: Tuesday, February 11, 12:00 PM (CET) 2020.
  End: Monday, February 17, 12:00 PM (CET) 2020.
  
  Every top 5 player for each leaderboard will be rewarded with 1 free Valentine 2020 box each.

 

Valentine themed Menu & Game Launcher:

• Specially for this event we have turned the main menu of the game into a Valentine theme. There will be a different background to totally get you in the Valentine mood.

 

Valentine Daily Login Reward

• We will reward every player with a free "Valentine 2020 Box" that logs in a certain period of time. Please note that we won't reward instantly but most likely the day after this period of time.
  
  Log in between the following date(s) and receive a Valentine 2020 Box:
  Start: Friday, February 14, 00:01 AM (CET) 2020.
  End: Friday, February 14, 23:59 PM (CET) 2020.
