We did take a little longer than we wanted but we decided to take our time and deliver a better product. We hope you'll understand.

So, what's new in this version?

Well, technically it's not much but the new update dramatically changed the feel of the game.

In this version of Market Tycoon, we've completely redesigned the user interface (UI) of the game.

Along with the new UI, few small features have been added like managing bank loans and event discounts.

We also added Polish to our supported languages.

We also added the ability for you to send us your market and it might be used in the main menu, loading background or screenshots on Steam. To do so simply click on the send marketing package button on the pause menu while in game.

Hey Everyone,

It's been a while since we posted a dev update but that's mainly due to what the next update will bring.

As some of you know, the next update will focus on UI. We have completely redone the UI of the game and it doesn't just look better, but it also works better. With extra features like loan managing and clearer item price management, the new UI changes the feel of the game for the better.

The work on the UI is 99% done there are just a few small parts remaining. We will be running a closed beta very soon with the new UI, so if you want to be a part of the closed beta please send us an email to [email protected] you will then receive access instructions if selected to be part of this beta.

While the beta is running we will be fixing more bugs that have been sent to us over the past 2 months as well as any bugs and suggestion for the new UI.



Also, we want to announce the opening of Protection Games discord server. Since the release of Market Tycoon, we have received a ton of feedback from you. And in an effort to give you what you want we have opened a discord server where everyone will have the opportunity to share their suggestions and then will try our best to deliver the most wanted features first. We've just released patch 7 of version 1.3.0

There isn't much to say, bugs reported since the last patch have been fixed ːsteamhappyː and small other improvements. The biggest of which is the optimization for a smaller save game file size.

The one new thing here is the addition of a new language:
• Simplified Chinese
• Traditional Chinese

Enjoy, and version 1.3.1 is on the way!

Finally, after many delays Market Tycoon 1.3.0 is here.

First, we want to apologize for the many delays of this update, we wanted to give you the best we can and couldn't just rush things and give a flawed product. We hope that you'd understand.


So let's get into it, what's new?

Setting aside all the background improvements, bug fixes, and optimization let's tell you about the new features.

• Employee Uniform
This feature has been asked from the beginning, and it finally made it. We remember when many of you asked for this feature, but it didn't make much sense at the time, you only had one employee option which was cashiers. There are more than cashiers now (more on that later). For this feature, you will be able to choose the style of the uniform, as well as any color you can imagine with HSV sliders which will give you a wide range of colors to choose from and easily find the color you want.

• Cargo Vans and Storage
Did this catch your attention? This is loads of fun and opens an interesting potential feature for later updates like launching a website for your market and selling items through the internet (Planned feature). So what is this? After placing your item, the item will not instantly get on the shelf (More on that next). You'll have to buy a cargo van ·send it to go and get your ordered items to your storage. And your items will remain in your storage until it expires or...... (see next)

• Stocking Employee
Yes, stocking employee, the game now is much more fun and realistic. So how this will work? Well, you will no longer be able to instantly place items into shelves. You'll have to hire stocking employees that will stock your items from the storage. So basically, you will place items just like you did before but the item will be semi-transparent indicating that the item isn't' there yet. Once you have your item placed stocking employees will stock your items from the storage to the shelves. Now you will have to think and manage the quantity of an item you want to have. you don't want to have too much and risk losing it when it expires, and you don't want to have too little and lose potential profit you would have made while ordering ·more items and stocking it.

• New Markets
This is the most noticeable thing on this update. With the introduction of the storage area which the old market didn't have, we had to make new markets. On this update, we have two markets. So, and for the lack of the storage area which is necessary to support the new ·features, the old markets have been removed. Therefore, you will no longer be able to load any saved games before this update.

• Other Small New Features (Graphics, Camera Movement)
With the introduction of the new markets, we have drastically updated the graphics and the look of the game. And ·to give more views of your market, now you can pan the camera up and down by moving the mouse up or down when rotating the camera. We hope that you'll like how the game looks now as much as we did.

And that pretty much summarize the new features for this update, and as we said earlier there are many improvements on how things work in the background as well as loads of bugs that have been fixed many of them thanks to the bug reports we received from you over the past couple of months.



What's next?
One of the features we wanted to include in this update was a brand new UI. Unfortunately, we wouldn't have been able to make it on time.

So, here is the plan for the next couple of updates*

• Market Tycoon 1.3.1
Brand new UI. The whole UI of the game will be recreated to look prettier and more user-friendly.

• Market Tycoon 1.3.2
Steam Achievements, trading cards, and macOS support

• Market Tycoon 1.3.3
More content. Anything from items, shelves, fridges, freezers, etc...

• Market Tycoon 1.3.4
More features.

So, it has been a month since we posted the last dev update. And today we have a very quick update to let you know why Market Tycoon V 1.3.0 is not out yet.

The reason is that we want to provide you with the best experience possible. And the next update is very focused on new features, or as we said in the last dev update "game-changing features". In addition to what we mentioned in the last dev update post (which can be found here) we are adding even more features like buying trucks and cargo vans to pick up ordered items and deliver it to your market. Which will open a new door for even cooler features like opening a website and running an online market as well. This is a planned feature and will not be included in Market Tycoon V. 1.3.0
