Dota 2 Update - 5/30/2023

Over the last few days we've addressed several gameplay issues:

 • Fixed a bug that caused Tormentors to not play their idle or flinch animations.
 • Fixed a bug where a hero would have to have a second Dust available in order for the damage or movement speed penalty to apply to enemies encountering the Dust.
 • Fixed Alchemist's Unstable Concoction Throw not triggering Phylactery.
 • Fixed an inconsistency where Dark Willow's Shadow Realm would not behave as if the unit were invisible for a number of abilities.
 • Fixed a crash when Earth Spirit creates many Stone Remnants and then casts Magnetize affecting at least one enemy unit.
 • Fixed Earthshaker leap being interrupted if he is debuff immune and gets a stunned applied on him (that does not pierce debuff immunity).
 • Fixed Gyrocopter's Flak Cannon modifier not updating its attacks remaining when refreshed.
 • Fixed Hoodwink's Acorn Shot, Medusa's Mystic Snake, Tinker's Laser, and Zeus' Arc Lightning not properly applying when casting hero has a Phylactery and a low-health unit is targeted.

 • Fixed Ogre Magi lvl25 talent 17% Chance for Fireblast on Attack no longer applying if the player buys and then sells/unequips Aghanim's Scepter.
 • Fixed a bug with Outworld Destroyer's Astral Imprisonment where, when a stack of Astral Imprisonment debuff was removed, mana as well as max mana might be restored.
 • Fixed Shadow Fiend's Necromastery tooltip incorrectly stating losing 40% of souls on death, when the real value is 30%.
 • Fixed Spirit Breaker Charge of Darkness occasionally continuing past death, leading to the ability being on indefinite cooldown and no longer usable.
 • Fixed Eimer Hillburrow courier not being selectable.
 • Fixed various tooltip issues.
 • Fixed various relics.

7.33c Gameplay Patch

Patch 7.33c is out now. You can check the notes here.

Additional Notes:

Ranked Matchmaking:
* Raised the minimum MMR to be eligible for Immortal Draft from 5620 to 6500.
* Modified the MMR gained and lost from matches when teams have varying skill to better approximate the expected chance each team has of winning. Games where the teams aren't equal in rating now credit the lower-rated team with a better chance of victory and the results for players with high rank confidence will be closer to +/-25 MMR.

DPC Summer Tour Kickoff

The DPC Spring Tour came to an exciting close this past weekend with the Berlin Major, where the Gaimin Gladiators continued the spectacular winning streak they started two months ago at the Lima Major. Dropping only a single game on the main stage, the Gladiators pulled off a resounding win in Berlin, netting them 500 DPC points and getting them even closer to The International.

The 2023 DPC Season continues May 15th with the Summer Tour, rolls forward to the end of June with the Bali Major hosted by IO Esports, and culminates at The International this October in Seattle.
DPC Fantasy
If you're new to Fantasy or might like a refresher, peruse this recap before you unpack your cards and play. You can also check the How to Play breakdown in the FANTASY section of the client for full details.
The Basics
For each weeklong period, fans set a Fantasy roster made up of two Core Player Cards, one Mid Player Card, and two Support Player Cards. Player Cards on a roster score Fantasy points based on how well they perform in that period's matches. Silver & Gold Cards have stat bonuses that earn more points.
Player Card Packs
All players have been granted 10 starter packs claimable on the DPC menu under the Watch tab. Additional Player Card Packs can be earned daily by winning a game of Dota. Team Packs will be available for purchase directly from the PLAYER CARDS tab in the WATCH section as teams submit their Supporters Club bundles in the near future.

When you open a pack you'll receive player cards from the specific region you have selected.
Regional Fantasy
Each DPC region is its own Fantasy league with its own player cards and unique lineup. You may choose to participate in multiple regional leagues, and you will earn Fantasy Levels based on your best fantasy league performance for the period. For instance, if you place in the top 10% of one league and the top 50% of another, you will receive the points for the top 10% placement. Region rewards do not stack.

At the end of each period, you will earn levels based on the Fantasy points for that period. Rewards will be unlocked based on your current overall Fantasy Level.
Scoring Matches
All Division I matches during the Summer 2023 Tour are eligible for Fantasy play. The highest scoring two games of a best-of-three count towards a player's score. If a team plays more than one series during a period, only their highest-scoring series will count.

Players that score in the top 100%/50%/25%/10% will earn 1/2/3/4 Fantasy Levels. Each level grants 350 Shards, and every fourth level doubles the prize to 700 Shards.

Once your lineups are set, make sure to follow all of the upcoming action in the Watch section of the client or on the DPC homepage.
