tl;dr

• The game is not finished yet. The game is still sold as is. That is how Early Access works.
  
• Dire is closely related to Faerie Solitaire Remastered but with a darker theme and much more focus on challenging content. It can still be played in a more relaxed way if you choose Relaxed as your difficulty when creating a profile. If you have never played any of our previous solitaires you probably should before attempting Dire.
  
• Our estimated full release date is 2 months from today. If you want to wait to buy until full release please make sure the game is on your wishlist today.
  
• There will be bugs. There will be lack of polish. There will be some obviously missing content.
  
• Please opt in to error reporting. It really helps us fix bugs faster. This is the first thing you will see when launching the game.
  
• We authorize any and all refunds if you are not happy and want one. We want you to be happy with your purchase. Show this to Valve if you want a refund and they for some reason deny you a refund.
  
• We will be updating as often as we have an update ready, and will do weekly posts on Fridays with lists of changes. You can subscribe to threads in the forum to be notified about specific things that interest you.
  
• We have a Discord, you can find the invite link on the About screens of any of our recent games.
  
• For anything we will be adding to the game we don't want to preview it at all until it's in the game and playable. Minus some exceptions, this is how we will deal with upcoming content additions. If you have played our previous games you can have some idea of what is to come.
  
• If you notice issues you can contact us directly at [email protected] or mention it in our Subsoap Discord or post about it in the forum. Check the known issues thread in the forum first.

In the latest major update of Faerie Solitaire Remastered we have restored the difficulty options: Normal, Master, Impossible. Originally we removed difficulty options in FSR, but after feedback from people we added them back in, and now with more options to customize them.

Here's some trivia: When we added Impossible to Faerie Solitaire Classic back in the day we did so as a joke for the people who said the game was too easy, but many people completed it in that mode anyway!

Changes to difficulty take effect on a fresh location. To make this easier, we added an option to restart the current location on the pause menu.

Picking a higher difficulty is only for those who want more challenge. With a higher difficulty set, there are generally more goals with higher requirements. Master and Impossible are similar early on, but as the adventure goes on Impossible becomes the hardest mode.

As you get perfects with a higher difficulty enabled, you will unlock higher tier stars in those locations. There are no benefits to choosing to make the game harder as we did not want people to feel forced to do so.

Along with the difficulty mode options for goals, there are two options for enabling timed hands and disabling the ability to retry hands.

FSC didn't have retrying hands, only full locations, so if you want that style of play in FSR you can now have it.

Timed hands will auto-end the current hand when the hand's timer runs out. On Impossible, you only have 60 seconds to complete each hand! Don't worry, if you don't like timers this option is optional.

We are still working on updates for FSR, and will have many more in the future as we continue to polish and fine tune the game for everyone. If there is something in FSR you want us to give some attention to let us know!

Faerie Solitaire Remastered is now available in Spanish! To choose this language click the "EN-US" at the bottom left of the main menu. We also have several other languages in progress. If you want to help us translate FSR to your native language please reach out to us!
