With today’s server release we’ve added a new collection to the game: the “Criminal Mind” collection (“criminal” trait)!

Sale extension!
The crew slots and Dabo sale is extended for one more day, it will remain valid until Wednesday, October 27, around 1pm ET (17:00 UTC)

A correction was applied for Brother Rom, the “costumed” trait has been removed.

We’re also investigating a display issue linked to v8.2.0 on Facebook and Steam, where some players have reported not being able to view/search for crew they immortalized. We hope to have a fix in place very soon and to redeploy v8.2.0 on these platforms tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience this might cause you.

Our latest client, v8.2.0 is now live on Facebook and Steam. It will be rolled out to Windows and Google Play in the coming days. The iOS release is scheduled for next week, followed by a release on our other android platforms (Amazon, Huawei, and Samsung).

A force update is currently scheduled for Monday, November 8 after which v.8.2.0 will be required to be able to play. To celebrate this release, a free Chronitons pack will be made available for players who are on the new version, it will be claimable in the Time Portal.

For this new game update we’ve focused on some quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and a new feature: Objective Events.

Objective Events (not live yet)
Objective Events will replace temporary achievements but more importantly they will become a regular activity you’ll be able to enjoy in between our regular weekly events.

For more details about Objective Events please refer to our “Introduction to Objective Events” communique. If you no longer have it in your in-game mailbox, you’ll be able to find it on our forums, and in our Support Guide Center.

Improvements and bug fixes

Interface changes
- the Galaxy map now offers a more intuitive option to return to the main interface
- Dailies folder replaces the Daily Missions tab: inside you’ll be able to access Daily Missions, Daily Login Rewards, the Campaign, and Cadet Challenges
- Captain Achievements have been relocated to the Captain’s profile
- Daily Login Rewards: we’ve made it clearer that they follow the calendar month, and that the last reward shown is a preview of the first day of the next month
- Voyage: you can now start a Voyage directly from the main interface
- Limited Offers have been relocated above the Purchases folder - Known issue: for the “Double Your Crew” offer, if you are eligible for one, a restart might be needed if you play on a platform that is not yet on 8.2.0 when the offer triggers.

Not live yet:
- no interface mode: this toggleable option will allow you to make some amazing screen captures. Space is beautiful!
- the Get Menu will show in which faction store the selected item is currently available
- Dabo animation on the Purchases folder: the folder will show an animation of the Dabo Wheel to indicate that Dabo has reset. The animation will disappear once the wheel is spun once. This will first be tested on a small portion of players.

Bug Fixes
- fixed an issue where the Get Menu would incorrectly show missions for items that were already claimed as Rare Rewards
- inventory selection will no longer reset after dematerializing a polestar
- ending a Cadet Challenge will bring you back to the Cadet Challenge panel instead of the main interface

Improvements
- Fleets: a new filter is available and shows fleet dailies completion status for all fleet members
- The Replicator panel now shows how many replicator uses you have remaining for that day
- Collection information is now available in the crew details popup, and in the crew details
This will allow you to quickly see if a crew is part of a collection and will also display your current progress in said collection.
- New behold packs: thanks to new technology, for some packs, we’ll be able to offer more variety in the choices offered via a behold, such as mixed rarity crew for instance. This will only apply to specific new packs.

In November the movies “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” and “Star Trek: First Contact” celebrate big release anniversaries, 35 and 25 years respectively!

To commemorate the occasion our next campaign will feature Tommy Gun Dixon 4 *, and Nyota Uhura 5*.

Tommy Gun Dixon is part of two collections: “Costume Party”, and “The Big Goodbye”.
Nyota Uhura is part of: “Original Thinking” collection.
This information will be available in a dedicated tab for each crew in our next client update, v8.2.0!

The campaign will start on Thursday, October 28 at 1am ET (05:00 UTC), and end on Wednesday, November 24 at 11:59am ET (Thursday, November 25 at 04:59 UTC).


You have one week left to complete the “Innovator” campaign!
Don’t forget that campaign tiers can be unlocked with Dilithium at any time while the campaign is active. Tap on the “+” icon above the tier to purchase it, this can be helpful if you find yourself short on accolades while trying to unlock all tiers before the campaign ends.

With the revelation that the planet’s fantasies are self-generated and that Luau Q is being used as its avatar, Starfleet is desperate for a resolution before the planet attempts to deploy another of its holographic fantasies into space. However, running parallel to discussions of how to deal with the sentient “dream machine” comes the question of what to do with the planet itself, a question which threatens to escalate tensions among several powerful factions.

We’re putting the final touches to our next update, v8.2.0, that is set to be released at the end of this month. We needed additional time for iterations, corrections, and implementation - but we are now getting close!

On top of various improvements and bug fixes, this new version contains the groundwork for Objective Events!

“Originally we announced that we were aiming for our first objective event to take place at the end of October. Part of the fun and challenge in game development is to discover new potential when working on a new feature. It was the case with Objective Events!

We then made the decision that it was worth it to take a little extra time to explore and implement these new opportunities, which meant delaying the release of v8.2.0. Being transparent with our release timings comes with risks, as we know that in game development delays happen.

Objective Events are a new activity that you’ll be able to participate in outside of our regular weekly events. They will have a simple format, and will also be how we do temporary achievements in the future.

We are eager to show you what we’ve been working on, and until then we hope you will enjoy the following, starting tomorrow:
