Starfleet’s desire to build organic vessels in a similar vein as Species 8472’s bioships has brought them into direct conflict with Species 8472 itself - and the deadly parasites that have followed them into the Delta Quadrant! Though many believe a begrudging alliance might be in both sides’ favor, Species 8472 believes they can just wait out the destruction of Starfleet by the parasites, leaving the galaxy theirs for the taking!

Tam Elbrum and Gomtuu appear on the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant, but something isn’t right, as Gomtuu attacks a starbase. Attempts to reach Tam or Gomtuu all fail. The living vessel must be stopped before anyone else comes to harm, but what could cause such a violent attack from such a gentle creature?

Greetings Captains,

As part of our June Players’ Choice tradition, back in March you were asked to vote for the theme of this month's mega arc. The three options were:

- Facets of the Past (DS9 + Trill)
- Tin Man / Bio-Ships (TNG/VOY + Astrophysicist or Exobiologist)
- Archer Mega (ENT + Inspiring)

The winner was Tin Man/Bio-Ships, let’s explore what this mega-event will be about.

Starfleet is evaluating the use of organic ships within their ranks. However, the “Tin Man” returns, not quite the docile creature he was once known to be. This frightening encounter is only a prelude to a bigger nightmare, as a crew dispatched to study the wreckage of a Species 8472 bioship disappears and the remnants of their doomed expedition could herald disaster for the entire galaxy.

For the duration of this mega-event crew with the ‘astrophysicist’ trait will provide an event bonus for all four events, the schedule will be as follows:

2022-06-02 - Skirmish event - Blight - this event will introduce a new ship: Gomtuu!
2022-06-09 - Galaxy Event - Pruned
2022-06-16 - Faction/Galaxy Event - Apoptosis
2022-06-23 - Faction Event - Pluripotency

Our recurrent mega arc crew will be ‘Infected Tryla Scott’ (Star Trek: The Next Generation - “Conspiracy”).

Participate in all four events to obtain a copy from threshold rewards, and to encounter other new characters such as: Captain Robert DeSoto, Lt. JG Picard, Lt.
