Level of the Month - March 2021

We're ready to tell you about Level of the Month — March 2021 edition and hope you will approve, it is LotR themed after all :)

There lies his crown in water deep,
Till Durin wakes again from sleep.

Dig deep into the mines of Moria and find your path through the Dark Forest — @Pierluigi75 takes us on a journey many of us completed before (just don't mention the theatrical cut please :)
Facilities and production buildings complete familiar landscape — Mt. Doom, Moria Halls, Mirkwood, Dead Marshes are easily recognizable — and add some unexpected railroad puzzle flavour to the experience. We have sensible timers here starting from 15 minutes, we are not allowed to crash trains or send trains to wrong stations though. It plays admirably smooth — things tend to pick up speed the further you progress, there's always stuff to miss or blow up by accident just when you start feeling confident and resulting track network looks like something only Maiar magic could produce :)

A very good brain exercise, quite a bit of fun and not a single "should've just used eagles" in sight :) Congratulations @Pierluigi75, your €30 Steam gift card is on its way!

Train Valley 2 community and developers want you, reader, to bring out your level editor and show us train driving complexity levels we never knew even existed. Build, create, compete. Having fun is a requirement.

Weekly Winner - April 12th

Start your week with a still steaming a bit, fresh out of the printing press, highly popular railroad and everything train puzzles Choo-Choo Weekly newspaper! New level creator challenges everyone with their first submission! Spend 40 minutes and fail your playthrough because you blinked too much! Upcoming DLC is rumored to include an Undo button and a Double Pause™ function!

In darkness, I shall be light. This week's level by @BenGotham is divided not only in colour but with obstacles and terrain as well. Multiple production chains and tricky track placement options coupled with generous timers and very strict objectives make the time fly by, or maybe that's my big mug of evening cocoa talking :)

At least 16, Karl! As the name suggests, a mountainous level by @LittleBear requires your full tunnel engineer attention, because flat surface and simple track routes are out of fashion in these parts :) Connect the cities across the landscape, acquire the very expensive special yellow bottles, emerge victorious and maybe build a couple more tunnels :)

Good luck, Mr. Architect! You will need some with both Do Not Stop Any Trains and Do Not Pause objectives on the table. @Gaztibelza brings a puzzle that requires coordination, wits, a sprinkle of outside-the-box thinking, and patience :)

A fresh design by @Thomas, this time we're helping a quaint industrial town to develop a resort with sea access and a uniquely shaped beach area. Or is it the other way around? You have some time to take in the scenery, just watch your trains — locals don't seem to like explosions :)

We weren't click baiting you with promises of a new player bringing the competitive levels even higher in our Workshop. @Engineer_Cat's premiere is on and this single production chain with many branches level will keep you busy for at least 12 minutes — Do Not Reverse Any Trains and Destroy Everything You Want But Only If It's Cheaper Than 3.99 objectives are there to cheer you up too :)

This is it. The level of the week. Made by @Pierluigi75. Recovered from abyss with collaborative effort of everyone on Train Valley 2 dev team. Beautiful scenery. Intricate terrain. If you need to get a computer, there's no need to get your tracks wet. Tight budget and expensive production buildings to erect. An objective to annihilate at least 70000 TV2 ducats worth of stuff. Just the right amount of silliness and an overall enjoyable experience.

@Pierluigi75, outstanding work! A €10 Steam gift card is heading your way right now :)

Don't forget to tell us about your TV2 workshop adventures and visit our Discord server for an upcoming LPT challenge. Until next week!
