September 30th is fast approaching, and we can't wait for Doja Cat to crash the party!

To prepare for the expansion pack's release, we're dropping a quick patch for the base game.

This update won’t noticeably change your current gameplay experience. Some bug fixes were squeezed in, but for the most part it’s a pre-patch in preparation of the new Doja Cat content before it’s made available. As always, see the release notes link below for more info.

This should help us ensure a smoother DLC launch for everyone before the expansion pack goes live at the end of the month!

Note: Custom stories may no longer function as intended, until updated by their owner/author. The 1.0.1 CSC and/or manual editing should be able to address any issues. The next CSC update will be released just after the Doja Cat DLC and House Party 1.0.2.2 drop.

Note: All other platforms that House Party is available on will be updated to 1.0.2.2 at the same time the Doja DLC is released.

She brings an amazingly realistic in-game character and wild new gameplay to the Original Story! Explore a hysterical new branching adventure in your favorite comedy game and help Doja Cat create her next music video - for better or worse!

There's a major celebrity joining the House Party! We've teamed up with the hit pop star Doja Cat to deliver a wild all-new side-story to the party that's packed with unforgettable adventure, comedy, and mystery!

In the DLC, you can navigate through an unpredictable night filled with outrageous partygoers as they help Doja Cat carry out a master plan to track down a mysterious masked dancing sensation taking the online world by storm.

You can interact with Doja Cat in several ways. Get her to the party. Befriend her. Maybe even flirt and fall in love!



If you've ever wanted to party with Doja Cat, this is your chance! Not only is her character as close to her real-life appearance as we could make it, but all of her lines are also voice acted by Doja Cat herself (and even ad-libbed for extra personality).

You'll also be able to see her in-game wearing three outfits that were hand-selected by Doja herself; a casual black dress, awesome music video performance attire, and a steamy hot tub bikini.

Throughout her story, Doja will react to the craziness that ensues during the party, showcase custom dances and performances, and create her next music video with your assistance - and how it turns out depends entirely on your in-game choices!

We’re stoked that a bunch of you are enjoying House Party running smoothly without crashes on the Steam Deck now that the new 1.0.1 update is out! Thanks for giving us such great feedback!



We’re kicking off the next update with tweaks to the CutScene system, like better allowing Player and non-Player cutscenes to co-exist, and making sure Achievement Pop-Ups aren't interrupting those nice cinematic moments you worked so hard to unlock!

And we still have more fixes we'd like to add as we work on update 1.0.2, too! Please keep in mind that these changes are not live yet, but they will arrive in our next stable release.

Hey everyone! The Chinese translation is now available!

Please restart your game client to download it. If you use Steam, Epic, etc. and run into any additional problems, try verifying your game files.

We will continue making improvements and additions to the translation over time. For best viewing of this translation, we suggest using the "Montserrat" font in the Gameplay Settings.

Work still continues on the other translations. We know that the delay, and seeing other languages completed first, can be frustrating. Everyone associated with our localization efforts is working very hard, and we hope to have the remaining languages completed in the coming weeks.

After-Party Bug Fixes & Performance Updates Arrive In House Party Stable Release 1.0.1!



The exciting post-release after-party is here, doods and lady-doods!

If you've been watching our updates lately, you know that the Doja Cat DLC is coming along awesomely, and we're still working super hard on improving the base game, too! Also, we're proud to announce that House Party's Stable Release 1.0.1 is available to all players now!

What's in this fancy new release? Well, before House Party left Early Access, we added some of the biggest graphical improvements that the party had seen thus far, and we also added some pretty graphically intense cutscenes. In this update, we worked hard to account for these graphical upgrades by adding a ton of optimization improvements!

We have also significantly reduced the memory that House Party uses, increased the frame rate of the game, improved frame drop and game lag issues in the yard (which were reported by multiple partiers), and fixed several crashing and stability problems. The game should be a much smoother and consistent experience for everyone going forward!

Thanks to these changes, House Party also runs smoother on the Steam Deck! You should find that the game now plays great on Ultra settings.

Of course, a handful of bug fixes and other changes to existing content were added in this update, too! It should be much harder for characters to accidentally fall outside the game world (total party foul right?), new translation components were added to the "hard coded" English text so translators can make more progress on localization, and we improved some sight check/culling check settings.

You can also now grab more items around the house, and keen-eyed players might spot a few mysterious, spoilery items hanging out and about in the game world!
