Beat Saber v1.34.0 Update with Original Soundtrack 6 Released



Hey players, we've just released update 1.34.0, featuring the new Original Soundtrack 6 with 4 songs composed exclusively for Beat Saber by the community-beloved artists: Lindsey Stirling, DragonForce, Camellia, and Far Out. But that's not all, we have one additional surprise song releasing soon after! đŸ€«

OST 6 Track List:

The OST 6 is a free update for all Beat Saber players and all songs are Content ID free so you can stream them without any limitations.

[STEAM]
- Fixed: After adding a song to Favorites, a user is not able to select the song in Favorites until re-opening the Favorites list
- Fixed: Default position for Valve controllers (Z position fix)
- Fixed: The 'X' button cannot properly dismiss the pause menu, gameplay flickering briefly before the menu appears again

[Level Editor]
- Added: New easing types with Circle, Bounce, Elastic and Back
- Added: More options for strobes - soft strobes and option to pick strobe “off” color
- Fixed: Several event “hover” issues
- Fixed: Few BPM-related issues

Beat Saber promotes "cognitive enhancement" new study suggests

Remember the times when we were told video games rot our brains? Well, now they're helping develop them, at least according to a new study from Cognitive Science which shows spending time in Beat Saber and VR in general is a tool to "promote cognitive enhancement".


The study focuses on a sub-genre of VR games known as exergaming. These games - like Beat Saber - put the body through a more rigorous experience, akin to a workout. Virtual reality gaming was put up against shadow boxing videos in the test with VR proving to have positive effects where the SBVs had none on the 11 "young participants".

Beat Saber v1.32.0 Update with Linkin Park x Mike Shinoda Music Pack Released



Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda are back in Beat Saber with a brand new music pack featuring their new and iconic hits, together with an exclusive unreleased song “Already Over” from Mike Shinoda.

Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda’s music can’t be neatly defined by just one genre, it crosses from nu-metal, to hard rock and hip-hop. Players will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the following pulsing tracks:
