Version 1.1.6f1 is live

Hello hackers,

Just for your information we just published a small patch to fix one less annoying bug and a far more annoying one. (who wants to play a stealth game where guards can spot you throug obstacles and wall in a level?)


Update v1.1.6f1:
  • Fix: a physics bug in map 9999999 impacting gameplay of the agent
  • Fix: fixed a bug when using smoke bomb skill while escorted that wasn't reseting the stress level of the music

The big optimization and bug fix update is live


Hello Hackers,

Today we are happy to release a quite expected update!
It adds to Hacktag not only an all-new and shiny customization menu but, most importantly, it fixes many bugs and also brings tons of optimizations that should hopefully make the game run more smoothly.

So if you were having performance issues on the game before, please, let us know if you see the difference now in the comments section or on the Discord server!

Of course, since the modifications we did in the background are rather massive the update may also bring few new unknown issues. If you are experiencing some you are more than welcome to report it on the forum, Discord or by e-mail.


2019-09-04 Changelist - v 1.1.6

General:
  • Many graphic and technical optimizations have been done:
  • Performance optimization
  • Culling applied in every level
  • Lighting optimizations
  • Menu animations and 3D backgrounds optimized
  • Better performance on Mac.



Menu and interface:
  • New ergonomy for the character creation and customization menu.
  • Redesign of most of the menus.
  • New texts for the call to action buttons during loading screen (better feedback to know if your partner is still loading).
  • You can now use the "Y" button to open and close controls layouts in the options menu.
  • The time to load the player icons in the social menu is now way shorter
  • In the options menu, the sound equalizers rulers now changes the volume in real-time.
  • Every skill previously used are now all kept in memory for the next game.
  • Fix: The instructions behaviors for switching role in single-player mode are now corrected.
  • Fix: With PS4 controller the button display in Jail mini-game window remains the right one ("square") all the time.
  • Fix: In character selection menu of the tutorial mode, pressing "Enter" on an empty slot now starts the character creation
  • Fix: Localization fixes in texts of the skill menu, achievements list, and tutorial.
  • Fix: The communication panel in score screen has been fixed. (emotes bubbles weren't displayed)
  • Fix: The back button in score screen after an online game now works correctly
  • Fix: In local co-op skills selection menu, pressing the start button together now correctly launch the mission.
  • Fix: Playstation 4 Dualshock controllers D-PAD sensitivity has been tweaked to navigate smoothly in the menu.
  • Fix: In the local co-op menu when playing with 2 Playstation 4 Dualshock controllers, player 2 is now able to navigate with the D-Pad.



Gameplay:
  • Level design fixes and improvement in the hacker tutorial mission.
  • New SFX feedback and music in the score screen menu.
  • Fix: blocking bug in tutorial fixed when the guard catches you right after downloading the 6 computers in room 2. He doesn't disappear anymore.
  • Fix: fixed hacker tutorial, sometimes the final co-op door wasn't triggering the minigame if the hacker activated it before the agent was on it.
  • Fix: in agent tutorial mission, the alert music now stops correctly.
  • Fix: Running against a wall doesn't make a sound anymore.
  • Fix: level design fixes on map Genethics #00111ECO: guards were escorting to the wrong jail after jail 2.
  • Fix: Map #000FECE7 in hard mode guard in the second half of the level now moves correctly.
  • Fix: Map #0001A7FF cameras after 4th firewall are now correctly alerting the guard
  • Fix: Map #00012D687 the final alarm can't be triggered before it is reachable anymore.
  • Fix: Blocking bug fix on Map #009164E1 antivirus now escorts to the right IDS when catching you on the door node right before the jail.
  • Fix: Story ending dialog is now addressed to the proper character and not to the host of the game.
  • Fix: When playing hacker, after a laser trap minigame nodes close to a scanner doesn't remain orange anymore.
  • Fix: The invisibility FX on the agent is now correctly displayed.
  • Fix: Opening a jail door during an escort before the agent arrives in jail doesn't break the liberation mini-game anymore.
