1.041 Balance Updates and Bug Fixes

Hi! This patch addresses some issues that were brought to our attention after the deployment of 1.04. Here are the patch notes!

Balance

  • Re-balanced the detection settings for all characters based on character type
  • Removed nail and glass requirements for the door recipe
  • Removed nail requirement for wall recipe


Bugs
  • Fixed bug that re-tagged structure parts, walls, doors, and windows as new each time a new recipe is picked up
  • Fixed crash being caused by mousing over the Strong Mer Shoes
  • Removing a trunk that has trunk drawers now returns the drawers to the inventory
  • Party members commanded to flee while inside caves will now be set to "Away" rather than dying if they manage to run into a pit
  • Updated description for Strong Mer Helmet (it said you could use it to breathe underwater but this ability will be added to it in a future update)
  • Updated Home Customization Menu to be left justified, which prevents it from conflicting with deploying store items under certain conditions

1.04 is HERE! New House Customizations, Home Defense Gameplay, Offline Mode and More!

Hi! We are happy to announce that 1.04 is now available for download! In this update we have added a bunch of new home customization items, new home defense gameplay, and more gameplay balancing. Here are the patch notes!

Gameplay and Content
  • Increased durability of all Armor Pieces by approximately 25%
  • Boars now have 30% chance to drop scrap on death.
  • Boar Carcasses now have chance to drop Boar Scrap
  • Increased Goblin Leather loot and scrap drops on Goblin and Goblin Heavy
  • Breaking an Iron Axe now results in a Broken Iron Axe that you can repair with scrap metal
  • Breaking an Iron Pickaxe now results in a Broken Iron Pickaxe that you can repair with scrap metal
  • Updated art on windows making them more visible when the sledgehammer is equipped
  • House windows are now transparent
  • Updated the art on player structures to better indicate exterior doors when outside of a structure
  • Getting close to a house window while outside will now reveal room interiors without going inside
  • Increased ATK power of Acorn Grenades from 20 to 40
  • Increased ATK power of Acorn Mines from 20 to 40
  • Friendly NPC's now more likely to follow players into a structure
  • Combat Knife now increases loot chance on skinnable animal carcasses the same as the hunting knife
  • Updated the descriptions on the boxing gloves as well as the punk fist


Home Defense Gameplay
Enemies now have the ability to "Detect" the player when they are hiding inside a structure and may try to force their way in. Detection is only possible when both the player and the enemy are within the "Detect Radius" of a Wall, Door or Window. The Detect Radius is different for each wall type.

Wall: Small Detect Radius
Door: Medium Detect Radius
Window: Large Detect Radius (The player can attack mobs and vice versa through windows. This allows the player to throw grenades out of the window to kill attacking mobs.)

If the player is detected, monsters will begin attacking the structure, damaging the walls. Players can cancel the aggro of monsters attacking a structure by exiting the structure, but detection will be renewed if players re-enter the structure and re-enter the detect radius that a mob is standing in.

Repairing Damaged Walls
The player can repair damaged wall simply by attacking the wall.
Currently walls have 1000 hit points
Each wall repair costs one oak log and will repair the wall approximately 25% of its total health.
NOTE: Windows cannot be repaired. They must be replaced.

Interface
  • Added a player status effects indicator above the armor meter of the HUD (useful when you are immortal inside of a crowd of enemies)
  • Added a no teleporters warning upon entering a tile map where teleporters are not allowed
  • Added Option to turn off Camera Shake


Bug Fixes

Recipe Bug Causing Crashes

Hi. We are getting reports that the game is crashing related to recipe drops. An update has been deployed that fixes this issue. If this is affecting your game please update the game.

1.03 is HERE! Expanded Home Building and more!

Hi Everyone!

We are happy to announce that 1.03 is here and it brings with it all new expanded structure building options and more!

In addition to expanded structures there are also new gameplay and balance changes and new content! Here are the patch notes!

Expanded Structure Building

The locks are off! You can now build 3 new structure shapes! All structures can now be linked together, which allows for building large homes with individual connected rooms!

Interface
Added "Quick Repair" buttons to the equip menu (these shortcuts for repairing equipment will appear next to your equipped item, if the item is damaged and you have the repair materials in your inventory)

General Gameplay
  • White Knights (appearing above ground) Active End time changed from 6am to 4am
  • Re-balanced Overall Punk Loot Drops
  • Decreased drop chance of bent crowbar on Crowbar Punk from 75% to 50% on death
  • Iron Swords now become "Broken Iron Swords" if broken in combat/harvesting and can now be repaired
  • Increased the light output of all lamp furniture
  • Decreased sell value of oak sticks from 75 gold to 25 gold
  • Increased the light output of lamps
  • Fixed bug that caused Giant Boars to drop the actual Boar God Club on death rather than the recipe.
  • Fixed bug that caused the game to go into windowed mode if you pressed esc while the game was paused


Content
  • Added additional Enemy Swarm Events
  • Added new weapon "Boxing Gloves"
  • Added new weapon "Punk Fist"
  • Added Punk Fist and Boxing Gloves recipes to Brutal Punk

Brutal Punk
  • Brutal Punk attack now has 25% chance to cause berserk.
  • Updated art on Brutal Punks to make them stand out more from the pack

Increased Dog KO time from 60 to 240 seconds

Increased Attack Dog Overall Power and Life Statistics
  • Increased Attack Dog (Puppy) attack from 1 to 2
  • Increased Attack Dog (Adolescent) attack from 2 to 4
  • Increased Attack Dog (Mature) attack from 3 to 6
  • Increased Attack Dog (Full Grown) attack from 4 to 8

  • Increased Attack Dog (Puppy) HP from 20 to 80
  • Increased Attack Dog (Adolescent) HP from 40 to 160
  • Increased Attack Dog (Mature) HP from 80 to 320

  • Increased Attack Dog (Puppy) base movement from 300 to 320 and Chase Speed from 300 to 330

    Dog Item Buffs
  • Increased Dog Bone HP restoration from 24 to 48
  • Increased Golden Dog Bone HP restoration from 24 to 96


Chomp
  • Increased Chomp's chase speed from 280 to 300
  • Chomp's attack now has 5% chance to cause berserk
  • Chomp now immune to poison
  • Increased Chomp evade chance from 15% to 20%
  • Increased Chomp's attack chance to miss from 10% to 15%
  • Chomp attack now has friendly fire (can cause Chomps to fight one another)
  • Increased Chomp chase speed from 280 to 295
