The Engineer Class and Construction System
One of the new features in Isonzo is the freebuilding construction available to certain classes - in particular the Engineer. Lay down sandbags and barbed wire to fortify your positions or try and establish some cover for attacking allies. Full blog post here!
Officer Call-ins - Artillery, Gas, and Aviation
In Isonzo the Officer class has access to three areas of support, which are targeted on flares fired by Officers or Mountaineers. Each type of support has a separate cooldown, and you can use weaker call-ins more frequently, or wait to deploy the most powerful abilities. Read more about artillery, gas, and aviation.

Marines at War Campaign begins!
Marines at War - Eastern Front
While US Marines were fighting to recapture Belleau Wood from German forces on the Western Front, Russia was no longer playing a part in the First World War following the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. Even while Russia was still fighting, Russian marines would not play a major part in the war. It was late 1916 by the time any dedicated marine divisions were formed, and these mostly conducted defensive operations by the Baltic Sea against the Germans and around the Caspian Sea against Ottoman forces.

This is a stark contrast to the Second World War, where the Soviet Union would raise so many naval infantry units that around 350,000 sailors would take part in land battles.
Marines at War in-game
Our latest campaign event will run until June 27.
All casualties in Frontlines and Maneuver game modes in Verdun and Tannenberg will be added to the total losses, and the winning side will be whoever suffers the least killed and wounded. Too many First World War battles essentially became meatgrinders (or were even conceived as such from the start) and so it is for our campaigns.
