While we work on giving you the best cooking experience possible we would like to start revealing and sharing some of the game insights with you!

And we would like to start with some brand new appliances that our team designed especially for this DLC. They are MUST HAVES in the Sushi Chef’s kitchen.

[h3]NEW KNIVES!🔪 [/h3]
One of the most important kitchen tools in the hands of every sushi master. Their precision blade, exceptional sharpness, balance and durability make them irreplaceable for different tasks such as cutting fish and maki.


[h3]RICE COOKER!🍚 [/h3]
Perfectly cooked rice is fundamental in making any form of sushi and this machine is of real help in the kitchen. You just have to put the right portion of it inside, wait for a little while and then it’s ready. Remember to rinse it first!


[h3]SUSHI OKE!🍱 [/h3]
It’s a 1-piece traditional wooden mixing bowl for rice, it serves to absorb moisture from the recently cooked rice and allows it to cool quickly. In our game it’s perfect for preparing rice seasoned with a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.


[h3]WASABI GRATER!🥢 [/h3]
One of our favourites. Use it for serving freshly grated wasabi that will elevate the flavour of any sushi roll you’ll prepare. The grater has a rough surface and by doing an up and down motion you’ll have as much of this ingredient as you need.


[h3]TAMAGOYAKI PAN!🥘[/h3]
With this pan you’ll be able to prepare a Japanese rolled omelet for tamago nigiri and rolls. Your guests will appreciate different sushi variations so be creative and don’t forget about this small but fancy pan!

Today we would like to throw in a few tidbits about street food culture and especially sushi – the main dish in our brand new DLC Cooking Simulator: Sushi, where you’ll become a Chef at a sushi bar. Get ready for some street food explained!🍣

You already know that the sushi Chef, or “Itamae”, is the heart and soul of any sushi bar. As the owner of the sushi bar you’ll take care of the culinary journey of your guests that lasts from the first until the final bite. If you feel adventurous and creative, you may serve "omakase", which gives you a creative freedom to serve the best and freshest ingredients of the day. While preparing the highest-quality fish available and seasonal specialties, be innovative and surprise your guest at the counter. Give them an unexpected trip that's full of surprises! 🎉

And when it comes to eating, chopsticks are commonly used to enjoy the taste of sushi, but it's perfectly acceptable for your guests to eat it with your hands. In fact, many argue that using hands enhances the sensory experience! And remember about one super important thing while dipping sushi in soy sauce: dip the fish side, not the rice side, to avoid soaking up too much sauce. In this case less is more 😃🥢

Have you ever wondered whether making sushi is a craft? After all, all you have to do is mix rice with seaweed, fish and vegetables. Far from it! Let us explain the real deal behind making sushi and the sushi master title. 🍙🐟

Becoming a sushi chef, or “Itamae”, is no small feat. The Itamae is not just a Chef but a performer, skillfully slicing fish and shaping rice while engaging with customers. 🔪

Before obtaining this title and standing in front of the cutting board, which means mastering the art of making sushi, it requires several years of training and apprenticeship with an incredible amount of attention to detail, being patient and dedicated.

First you learn how to cook and season rice and only later how to handle a knife to cut perfect slices of raw fish and vegetables with confidence and care. The process is not easy but eventually with small steps you learn to create the best sushi possible. And let’s not forget about other Chef’s responsibilities like maintaining the kitchen clean and full of fresh ingredients.🥢

Sushi is more than just a Japanese dish, it’s a global phenomenon and the most iconic dish in our brand new DLC. The world can’t seem to get enough of this delicacy. Have you ever discovered its history as rich and layered as its flavours? Let’s take a gastronomic trip back in time!



A bowl of cooked rice is a central part of traditional Japanese meals, but the grain is also processed into several different types of products, like sushi. Contrary to popular belief, sushi didn’t originate in Japan. Its roots can be traced back to Asia, but it wasn’t until it made its way to Japan that it began to evolve into the sushi we know and love today. 🍙🐟

In Japan sushi began to be served in the form of slices of fresh fish over small mounds of vinegared rice. This quick and convenient form of sushi became an instant hit, especially among busy workers and travelers. Only later various additions were served in the form of mostly raw seafood, nori seaweed, vegetables, mushrooms, as well as Japanese omelette, tofu and sesame seeds as it is happening today. 🍱🦐
