After having travelled the East and West of the United States during Season 3, the US Speed Tour is making a comeback in Season 8! This Season is bringing brand new events, new vehicles, a whole new playground, and more vanity items than you could shake a checkered flag at. Strap in for the Patch Notes breakdown!

[h2]TOURING CAR & ALPHA GP HANDLING UPDATE[/h2]

Thanks to your feedback, we have worked to improve the consistency of the handling of vehicles in the same category. Since Season 5 with the Rallycross category, but also during the following Seasons on the Touring Car category. With Season 8, we are happy to announce that we are bringing a new milestone by rolling out handling improvements for all the vehicles in the Touring Car and Alpha GP categories that have not been updated until now.

• [Fixed] FPS no longer drops to minimum 32 fps at 98% progression in Season 7’s ‘The Final Call’ street race event.

• [Fixed] The 918 Spyder Silvery Edition (2015) – Hypercar no longer has a lower top speed than the one displayed (without any performance parts).
  
• [Fixed] The Pontiac Firebird (1977) – Street Race cockpit camera in reverse view has been adjusted.
  
• [Fixed] The speedometer of the Saleen S1 Icebreaker Edition (2020) – Street Race no longer burns on the screen for a second after exiting HQ.
  
• [Fixed] The speedometer of the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 (2021) – Hypercar is now displaying data properly in cockpit view.
  
• [Fixed] The camera no longer clips with the door while changing the interior colour for the Shelby GT 500 (1967) – Street Race and Drift edition.

Audio

• [Fixed] The engine sound no longer breaks down on specific sound configurations.
  

Difficulty

• Some difficulty modifications based on the improvement of the handling on Touring Car and Alpha GP vehicles categories.
  

Known Issues Below you will find a list of some of the current known issues.

• Dashboards flash on the screen for a short time when being reloaded in-game.
  
• “PSST Horn” is not correctly translated in Traditional Chinese language and debug text is present instead of the vanity name.
  
• The wrong text is displayed for Season 8 Episode 2 events, displaying ‘Time Attack’ when races are against AIs.
  
• The Season 8 Episode 2 events in their Endurance versions have the wrong short transition video with no sound.

Our next update, The Crew 2 Season 8 Episode 1: USST Cities will be available for free to all The Crew 2 players on March 15th!

This season is all about one thing: speed. All the way back in Season 3 we introduced the US Speed Tour, where intrepid racers travelled from one side of the US to the other in a race that combined blazing speed with hardened nerves. Now, in Season 8, the US Speed Tour makes a return to the biggest cities in the States!

These twisty urban tracks will test one's bravery, where even a small mistake can cost you the race. Are you prepared? Then read on!

[h2]NEW EVENTS AND CHALLENGES[/h2]
The Motorflix team has been hard at work creating high speed races throughout several major cities across the US! From New York to Los Angeles, new events will drop every week over the course of the Episode, each in a new city. Use your skills and daring to reach the top in all 8 events! These races won't be easy. These urban settings are full of tight turns at 90°, requiring perfect balance of cornering and acceleration to stay in the game.



These challenging races aren't the only new additions this Season! Each event race this season will also feature an Endurance Race mode. These will test your fortitude as you conquer these long trials! Maintain your focus and you will succeed.

[h2]NEW VEHICLES[/h2]
A new Season is a great reason to grab some shiny new wheels, and this one is no exception! Swinging into Season 8 Episode 1 is a wide selection of new cars, including the Saleen S1 GT4 (2020), the Spyker C8 LaViolette GT2-R (2008), and the KTM X-Bow GT2 (2020).







All of the above vehicles will be available for purchase in bucks or Crew Credits starting on March 15th.

[h2]RETURNING VEHICLES [/h2]
The return of new vehicles continues with Season 8. Old favorites from previous Motorpasses will be returning in April, including the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar (2020), Jaguar F-Type SVR Coupe (2017), Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Coupé (1961), and KTM 450 EXC - Nighthawk Edition (2015).



Keep an eye out for more cars returning as more content is added to The Crew 2. Don't hesitate to take the opportunity to finish your collection!
