StellarHub 2.0 - ready to RELAUNCH!



We`re almost here! Complete remake of the game took 4 months instead of 2 (as we originally assumed). The new game engine has a lot of advantages, but there are some disadvantages. For example, there may be some problems with videocards that have limited or poorly implemented OpenGL 3.0 support (especially for integrated solutions from ATI). Minimal system requirements also increased slightly.

It was a hard 4 months. Thousands of lines of code, long lists of bugfixes, hundreds of hours of gameplay ...
We were almost exhausted, but we did it! We sincerely hope that StellarHub really got better.

We decided that it must be 2.0, not 1.1. Too much has been remade.

Relaunch date: August 4, 2018.

Dear friends,

As I wrote earlier, we are a little late with the release of the update. Since the game had to be completely remade, testing the game mechanics took a lot longer than I thought.

At the moment everything works fine, but the gameplay itself is a bit ... hardcore. We are working on the difficulty settings to play was more comfortable.

What we need to do:
-savegames testing
-balancing difficulty levels
-some tweaks

Dear friends,

As we said earlier, we get out of the schedule (2 months). We have a real chance to finish everything by the end of June. Thank you for your patience. New feature that we just added to the game:

-Contracts. These are the goals that the player must reach to complete the current mission. Collect resources, obtain scientific data etc.

What we need to do:

-Main menu/Mission selector/Options
-Scenario missions
-Tutorial mission
-Some testing

Dear friends,

Just want to inform you that the work on the global update is coming to an end. There is still a lot of work here and it seems that we are lagging behind the schedule (as we originally said - 2 months). Here is list of changes already implemented:

-New game engine (OpenGL 3.0) No more old crashes and strange critical bugs.

-Full UI redesign (most of controls now is more clear and intuitive)

-Station visual look improvements (no empty corridors, 2d lights)

-New station crew control UI and mechanics (now each crew member to do his work must be attached to station module(s). This innovation removes all the problems about late and incorrect delivery of resources, confusion when distributing characters to workplaces, etc.

-New map resource - Ice. From ice you can produce water. Water needed in greenhouse and for beverages production (for crew).

-New resources for production - Water and Beverages.
-Defense platforms now use ammunition

-Full redesign Greenhouse/Farm/Manufacturing plant control

-Strong changes in Research tree and science mechanics

-New messaging system. No more tons of log messages. Just sorted and clear popup messages under main panel.

-Day|Night cycle.

-New station module - Station Shield Generator. Designed to protect the station from asteroids.

Sorry for long delay. We have finally started work on a global update of our game. What does it mean?

-New game engine (OpenGL-based)
-No more crashes
-No any compatability issues
-Localization bugfixes
-Greatly improved perfomance
-Any resolution support, vsync support
-Full UI redesign
-UI improvements (zoom system, detailed free game options etc.)
-Strong gameplay changes (full rebalance, new mechanics, less micromanagement, more fun)
-Mac and Linux support

We have plans to complete this in 1-2 month. Thank you for you patience.
