IOSoccer Update - 2 September 2018

[GAMEPLAY]
  • Increased bounding box (player to player collision)
  • Ball rolls slightly more
  • Reduced sliding reach
  • Removed standing tackle
  • Increased jumping height
  • Added a ConVar that removes kick-off charge block during competitive matches
  • Keeper parry the ball more forward. This to avoid goals that happen right after a save.
  • Keeper catch/parry timer lowered in a way that makes keeper catch more shots.
  • Reduced sombrero and rainbow flick power
  • Increased skill modifier power
  • Lowered the set-piece shield grow timer. This to avoid set-pieces getting blocked too easily.

  • Reduced scoreboard length from 768 to 720

  • Added Chile generic kit made by Rorro
  • Removed 5v5_club_fustal from the default map pool
  • Added 5v5_indoor to the map pool
  • Removed a glow effect from the ball

IOSoccer Update - 2 August 2018



  • Reverted ‘Increased player deflection area’
    While it did help deflecting crosses and headers. It brought problems with dribbling, shooting and passing. Resulting in players getting stuck while dribbling.

  • Changed set-piece block timer from 4 to 3 seconds. (was 2 before 25 July)

  • Added Colombia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Panama, Peru and Sweden generic kits made by Pajaro and Potatuzz

[Gameplay]
  • Reverted ‘Removed curling from dribble shot’
    LMB/M1 can curl again

  • Partially reverted ‘Reduced collision distance between players’
    The collision distance is now between old and previous.

  • Increased block timer for RMB/M2 during set-pieces
    When penalty, corner or (close) free-kick given. You will have to wait longer than before if you want to use a charged shot.

  • Removed 3rd replay (celebration cam) to save time

  • Added configs for competitive matches. ‘3v3.cfg’ all the way to ‘11v11.cfg’
    Keeper rotation ON = 3v3 and 4v4
    Offside OFF = 3v3 and 4v4

    Middle line shield OFF = 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5

Gameplay
  • Reverted previous player/ball collision change:
    Players unintendedly hit themselves with shots too often when the ball rolled into their model.
  • Fixed mass benching after half-time due to wrong AFK check.
  • Improved set piece shield behavior and drawing conditions.
  • Reduced set piece charged shot block activation time and increase linger time:
    The intention behind this mechanism is to force players to perform the shot while moving during penalties to give keepers a fairer chance. If you stop at the ball for a bit you won't be able to perform a charged shot. You then need to move back and wait a bit until you can have another try.

Gameplay
  • Removed curling from dribble shot:
    This makes dribbling easier and more consistent.
  • Removed ball collisions while dribbling with the ball on the ground:
    You can now weave the ball between your feet (Note: You will still hit yourself if you shoot while the ball is behind you).
  • Reduced collision distance between players:
    You can now move closer to players before colliding with them.
  • Added player reach indicator:
    The circle shows you the area where you can shoot the ball (can be toggled in the "Customize -> Visuals" menu).
  • Increased player deflection area:
    Blocking crosses is now easier than before.
  • Added dynamic set-piece shield:
    The set piece shield starts at radius 0 and grows over a couple of seconds to max radius. This gives players time to position themselves and allows faster set piece execution.
  • Removed charged shot from kick-offs:
    You can only use dribble shot now to perform a kick-off. This is to combat cheap goals right after kick-off.
  • Adjusted player/ball collision area at the feet:
    The ball bounces off at a better angle now when hitting another player in the feet.
  • Reduced keeper catch/parry timer:
    Keepers catch more shots now instead of parrying them.
  • Reduced keeper punch strength:
    Keepers have now more chance to reclaim rebounds than before.
  • Slightly increased header curl strength.
  • Changed default keeper mode to legacy settings:
    A/D = Side dive and W/S = Jump. This can be changed in the "Customize -> Gameplay" menu.
  • Fixed a bug where step sounds would be played during instant replays.
  • Reduced the volume of other players' footsteps.
  • Added AFK auto-benching for players who aren't moving for too long:
    Adjust with "sv_awaytime_match_autospec". Set to 0 to disable.
  • Added ConVars to control the random team kit pool servers select kits from in public matches:
    "sv_randomteams_pool_default"
    "sv_randomteams_pool_custom"
    "sv_randomteams_pool_real_clubs"
