Rolled back last update yesterday

The first AI/social interactions update was posted last night but I had to take it down temporarilybecause of a compatibility issue with the package. I am working on the patch now and hope to get that update out today or as soon as the issue is addressed.

Road map update

Hi there, I hope you have all had a positive start to the year.

I wanted to write a post about the next update in the works. I've been really struggling with getting the social aspects of the troop right. It's by far the most difficult part of the project but I wanted to reach out and say it is being addressed and to any player that thought the game development had finished it is far from it.

I have decided to implement another level of relationship between the gorillas which I hope will finally give the AI of the troop the feel I am going after. This is on top of the quests or tasks the females can ask the silverback to complete, giving more purpose to player.

I will keep you informed of the progress and hope to have some updates each week over the next three or four when I feel we can then have solid relationship structure for the troop to sit along side the survival elements in there now.

I really appreciate the support and I am striving to make this a unique and interesting indie title. Please reach out with comments, forum posts or private messages if you have any feedback, ideas.

Update live

A quick update which fixes camera clipping in the terrain and trees.

Also adjusted the volumetric light settings so they reflect time of day better and also the current weather.

Update live

Good evening all, The latest update adds a minmap radar system to the HUD. Some players have been having issues with the difficulty level so this feature should help.

Currently it only detects Female Gorillas. We can easily add predaotrs/rivals or in fact all the animals if this is reuired. I will test adding to all food and thes nests too.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

Terrain Update

A new update is live which improves CPU performance. This is the first of several terrain updates that will move usuage from the CPU to the GPU. This should be especially helpful for AMD based rigs but everyone should benefit.

I noticed a few reports of slow movement which will be related to FPS, this should really help. I am going to open a couple of disussion threads so any reports can be placed there and if you could add you machine details that will be really helpful in targeting any issues.

Thanks

Andy
