Console Updates, Future Plans, and MORE!

Dear Splitgate community,

For those who don't know, Splitgate started off as just a couple of college students (1047 was the address of our dorm) with an idea to combine two of our favorite games, Halo and Portal. We've put our heart and soul (and personal savings) into Splitgate, and it has turned into something far beyond what we ever originally imagined. We are proud of what we have accomplished as a new game studio, and we have learned so much that we think will enable us to grow in the future and establish a healthy playerbase.

Our community is filled with very passionate and positive Splitgate supporters and for that we thank you all. We take every piece of feedback seriously, and we love reading your comments and ideas. The feedback from the Season 1 update has been very positive and retention has greatly improved. So now, we just need to build on that.

In addition to continuing to improve the PC version of Splitgate and developing for consoles with a target release of Q1 2020, one of our fall projects is to raise enough money to give Splitgate the marketing push it deserves and give the community the player base it deserves.

In the meantime, please keep playing and spreading the word. We aren't going away any time soon, and we hope you won't either.

Love,
1047 Games

Splitgate Season 1

Splitgate Season 1 is live!!!

We have spent the last 3 months working harder than ever to bring you this update. Without our awesome community and all of the feedback none of this would have been possible. You guys have pushed us to improve the game every day (we've added 50,000 lines of code since last update and a lot of new content), and we are so excited for you all to see what has changed.

CONTENT
  • Splitgate - Arena Pass: We have added a new progression system in our Arena Pass. Progress through over 100 levels throughout Season 1 to earn some sweet, SWEET cosmetic gear!
  • Races: We created Splitgate "Races," where you can compete against your friends and global leaderboards by speedrunning the maps in these timed trials.
  • Daily and Weekly Challenges: Complete these daily and weekly challenges to gain XP towards your progression level and your Arena Pass level. Do you have what it takes to tackle these challenges every week?
  • New Weapon: You can now use the BFB as a one-shot melee weapon in Splitgate! Run around the map with a GIANT BAT whacking enemies into a swift death.
  • New Map: Abyss is now playable in Season 1! Abyss is an underground cave with a large open center. Since combatants fight underground, even the Rocket Launcher cannot be heard form the surface. Fight with caution. If you parish at Abyss, you may never be found.

Improvements
  • Overhauled Graphics: We improved the graphics in every area of the game, from inspecting your skins to playing on the new maps.
  • Improved UI and custom crosshairs: We improved the look and feel of Splitgate. From the main menu to the in-game UI, Splitgate now looks better than ever! You can now have more control over your crosshairs by selecting the design and color from our templates.
  • Performance Updates: Splitgate is now more optimized than ever. Hop into Splitgate for some smooth gameplay now for Season 1.

Redesigned Matchmaking and Ranking System
  • We have revamped our matchmaking/ranking systems to veer from the 1-50 Ranking system of old. We have moved to an ELO-based system which will more accurately match players based on skill. This will allow both new users and dedicated users to have better games while playing Splitgate.
