Bus Driver Simulator News

While the new map is in active development, we improved some more things in basic Bus Driver Simulator game.

The game has got the following improvements in version 6.10:

• Fixed a part of the road in Cologne where lighting was incorrect.
  
  
  
  
• Fixed low FPS in Tourists scenario.
  
• Added presets for steering wheel setups: wheel itself, gas/break pedals (it fixed several bugs when saving controls settings).
  
• Fixed a problem causing turn signals not to be disabled automatically when using steering wheel.
  
• Brake axis is now assigned correctly in default controls preset.
  
• Fixed informational windows for wide screen resolutions.
  
• Fixed several typos in translations.
  
• Removed one irrelevant loading screen.
  
• Other minor changes.
  

As you may have noticed, Bus Driver Simulator has been updated a few times during the last month, and here's what's changed in versions 6.8 and 6.9:

1. Made significant improvements in compatibility with different steering wheels and controllers. Many problems were solved thanks to your help in testing with various devices. By the way, separate Steam branch for testing steering wheels was closed as all the changes are already in the public version.
   
2. Garage in Murom Suburbs DLC is now different. You can compare the garages on screenshots below.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Added new splash screens while loading Murom Suburbs map.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Fixed a critical bug causing the game to freeze if Esc key is pressed during loading.

6. Fixed a problem with 3rd Cologne Scenario.
   
7. Fixed a problem with steering wheel in buses showing upside down if you're playing with a steering wheel.
   
8. Several minor bugs were fixed.

[h2]A new map is being developed for Bus Driver Simulator - Solnechnogorsk, Moscow District![/h2]

More than a year ago, we started our work with one of the map creators for another simulator. He showed a big interest in our project and will to recreate his city for Bus Driver Simulator. Dealing with Unity was quite difficult for a novice, but it couldn't stop him and, after a year, Solnechnogorsk is transferred into the virtual space.



The map contains various areas of the town, such as dynamic railway station and Leningrad highway, and calm ones, like residential quarters. There are many buildings to look at: new houses, churches, manufactures and even mansions. As always, the player will be able to create his own routes, and about 50 bus stops are available.



Even though we're almost done with the level design, we still have to work on functional part of the map, so we plan to release the DLC this summer.
Also, we'd like to mention that this map will also use the new traffic and navigation system which is used in Murom Suburbs DLC.



In English, the DLC will be named "Bus Driver Simulator - Russian Soul". Its price is to be announced later.
