New featurette released for Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster

Following on from its acquisition of the rights to Pyro Studios’ franchises in 2018, Kalypso Media is thrilled to kick off its E3 2019 line-up by announcing the return of two icons of the strategy genre. Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster, developed by Yippee Entertainment and Torus Games respectively, will bring these two classic gaming experiences to Windows PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in Q4 2019, with Commandos HD Remaster also coming to Nintendo Switch, Mac, Linux, iPad and Android tablets. Both titles will launch complete with updated graphics and enhanced controls for the best possible performance on modern gaming platforms.

In Commandos 2 HD Remaster , take control of an elite group of commandos who must venture deep into enemy territory and utilize their combined expertise to complete a series of notoriously demanding missions set in World War II. In this genre-defining classic, explore interactive environments and use your commandos’ unique skillsets to complete your mission against seemingly impossible odds.

In Praetorians HD Remaster , take your place in an emerging Roman Empire by proving your worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theatres of Gaul and the heart of the Empire itself in Italy, in a crusade to become Emperor. Combine your units, master their varied skillsets and exploit the weaknesses of your enemies to emerge victorious. But beware – the closer you get to the Emperor, the closer you get to facing the infamous Praetorian Guard.

To celebrate the announcement of Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster, a new featurette is available with an interview with Ignacio Pérez Dolset, founder of Pyro Studios.

Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster are scheduled for release on Windows PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in Q4 2019, with Commandos 2 HD Remaster also coming to Nintendo Switch, iPad and Android tablets. We have been reading all of your comments on the Community Hub and have another update for you all. Hopefully this addresses most, if not all problems that have been raised.

Please let us know if you still experience issues on the Community Hub threads.

Changelog:

• The shark in savo island is bugged, its reef is stuck out side of water and does not move you can see this in the entry scene and during gameplay
  
• Corocodiles are bugged, they are completely avoiding to come out of water just like the patrol units they are bugged as long as you do not dive into water you will not make them move.
  
• Any units inside the houses and other locations which has entry element (doors + ladders + etc) is bugged, they do not interact with the world at all until you go inside the house. for example go inside shoot them before you kill them come out and they should chase you outside but they remain inside and dont come out and in other words game is paused for them until you go back to the house and it exactly starts from the moment you left last time.
  
• Any interaction with houses + windows + ladders is bugged and not working, such as sniper cannot snipe from windows anymore (when he is outside and you want to snipe the enemy inside a house by targeting the window) this does not work anymore his scope is not shown.
  
• white death mission theme is changed to C3 train mission theme
  
• some ladders are bugged, your character can not drop himself down when you tap on right click
  
• the old school cheats "gonzoandjan" are no longer working on both legacy and new edition – New Cheat is PYROFOREVER

UPDATE - You can now access the old build via the "Legacy Version" launch option

Thank you all for your continued support for the Commandos series, we appreciate all the feedback we have received. We have heard all of your concerns and took them on board.

With that, we have an announcement, all of the Commandos games should now run on systems up to and including Windows 10. Significant changes have been made to the code in order to make each of the games run correctly on modern machines.
