Patch 1.06 — Bugfixes, Rebalancing Trinkets and Some New Stuff

Patch 1.06 is live!


Fixes
1. Fixed a series of bugs with scavenge events that led to incorrect loot spawns.
2. Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a softlock in London if player failed both the Lindisfarne quest and Alyssa's questline.
3. Fixed the Load button in pause menu disappearing on Sory Mode difficulty.
4. Fixed a bug that caused London quests to sometimes be available in later chapters.
5. Fixed a bug that allowed Lindisfarne quest to be started mulriple times.
6. Fixed a visual issue with player character's hair clipping through some helmets.
7. Fixed an issue with incorrect hit\bypass armor chances on 'Coup de Grace' and 'Pierce' attacks (hopefully for good this time).
8. Fixed several smaller bugs and localization issues.

Added and changed
1. Added an option to pay for indulgence in Lindisfarne, exchanging money for virtue.
2. Added some virtue as a reward for completing Cecilia's Pharmacist quest.
3. Added some new trinkets into the random character generation item pool at the start of the game.
4. Added some new trinkets into shops in the second half of the game.
5. Added a possibility to ransom your way out of French captivity after the final battle of Cambrai and not miss your chance to go to England (still requires high rep. with Northampton).
6. Reworked the mechanics and stats bonuses of various trinkets (berserker's talisman, cultist's claws, leather gloves, knight's chain, medical treatise) — keep in mind that item changes take full effect on new playthroughs only.
7. Added another fight if the player decides to hold their ground instead of retreating during the final battle of Cambrai.
8. Increased the enemy count in some of the battles in and around Rennes. Made some of Rennes' enemies a little bit tougher.
9. Increased gold rewards in Survival mode.

Patch 1.05 — More Bugfixes and UX improvements

Patch 1.05 is live!


Fixes
1. Fixed several bugs that made 'Proceed' button inactive in the earlier chapters, softlocking players.
2. Fixed a bug that occured when the player ettempted to fix mechanical drum magazine.
3. Fixed a bug that forced the marauder leader to spawn with incorrect visual model and led to game crash.
4. Fixed a bug that allowed some non-boss enemies to spawn with two-handed weapon and a shield simultaneously.
5. Fixed a bug the showed incorrect names for special items sets in inventory.
6. Fixed a bug that prevented some players from unlocking the Fall of Goliath achievement despite defeating him.
7. Fixed a bug that allowed to infinitely start Olivia's pixel huntung section.
8. Fixed a bug that broke the AI of computer characters during the 'knight v bandits' scavenge event forcing them to skip their turns.
9. Fixed some incorrect interactions with the luck stat in combat.
10. Fixed several smaller bugs and glitches.

Added and changed
1. Added a confirmation screen for 'Reset profile' action.
2. Added new visual model for Estoc.
3. Reworked torture mask item (the vitality bonus is now only applied while the item is equipped).
4. Increased craftsmaship requirements for repairing mechanical drum magazine.
5. Added a forced save when the player quits an HWR playthrough through the main menu button instead of 'Save & Quit' option in game. This should prevent players from losing their progress if they quit the game that way.
6. Added an increased base armor break chance for wo handed axes and one handed axes (to a lesser extent).
7. Lowered chance of low-level enemies spawning with poison (primarily relates to the first couple of militiamen encounters).

Patch 1.04 — Bugfixes, Balance and More

Patch 1.04 is live!


Fixes
1. Fixed a bug that made the 4th governor's quest in Damietta zero your reputation with him, preventing you from marrying Emma.
2. Fixed a bug that sometimes caused an error when the player tried to hand over custom armor to the blacksmith.
3. Fixed a bug that made Leper Crusaders have very low HP and also gave them incorrect visual models.
4. Fixed a bug that allowed to infinitely receive an abduction quest in Damietta.
5. Fixed a bug that prevented access to the final quest of Bartholomew's storyline (and thus blocked the related achievement).
6. Fixed a bug that prevented the player from gaining access to the survival mode after completing the game.
7. Fixed a bug that prevented the player from receiving the 'Sword of Justice' achievement.
8. Fixed a bug that allowed gravely wounded enemies to infinitely drop their helmets and receive bonus stats.
9. Fixed rare situations when the lucky coin did not increse the reward for killed enemies.
10. Fixed a bug that made the combat interface glitch out and merge with camp interface preventing the player from progressing.
11. Fixed an error that appeared after the player escaped from Rennes' prison after previously finding Olivia's dagger.
12. Fixed an exploit that allowed to find Olivia's dagger multiple times.
13. Fixed an error that appeared when the player attempted to unjam a mechanical drum with durability below zero.
14. Fixed a bug that sometimes appeared when the player tried to complete Useful Hobby quest.
15. Fixed a bug that made El Mansur tavel menu to give an incorrect fatigue icon.
16. Fixed incorrect visual hit chances for Estoc's Pierce attack.
17. Fixed a bug that prevented the player from gaining access to a trinket for creating all possible bolt types.
18. Fixed inconsistencies with various trinkets' mechanics (torture mask, black stone ring, tarot cards).
19. Fixed a bug that made Anna's shop replace every other shop in the game except for the main one.
20. Fixed a lot (A LOT) of smaller bugs, glitches and localization issues.

Added and changed
1. Lowered max possbile starting level for recruitable allies.
2. Added a more detailed explaination for Heat mechanic in the desert.
3. Increased Estoc's stats requirements, lowered damage.
4. Increased flail's stats requirements.
5. Increased the amount of items available for sale in Rennes (added more high level armor, shields and weapons).
6. Added medical treatise to the list of items that can help in Hadley quest.
7. Mortifying flesh and playing lute camp actions no longer require player to equip the necessary trinkets (they can work in inventory without being put on).
8. Playing dice will give the gambling bonus without necessarily being equipped (can work from inventory).
9. Lucky coin will give more gold for selling items without being equipped (can work from inventory).
10. Cross pendant and small golden cross now both offer protection from bleedings and poisonings if the player's virtue is high enough.
11. Tainted chalice's effect (prolonging poisonings) increased by 1 turn.
12. Poison dart's effect (increasing the damage of poisonings) increased by 1.
13. Added another resolution to the first Ruffin encounter in case of player's victory.



What's next?
in the coming weeks I will continue to work on various bugfixes and — once most of the bugs are out of the way — will announce the news regarding content updates. The things you can definitely look forward to first are dedicated endings for all the girls (allowing to marry not only Olivia and Emma but all the rest too) and big improvements to the squad mechanics.
