Phoenix Royale
  • Redeploy time can now be reduced by Teammate's actions: kills, squad eliminations, revives (via defibs or redeploy), and opening crates.
  • Redeployment timer now increases based on the number of times you've been redeployed in addition to increasing each zone phase.
  • Reduced battlezone "hold" time for 1st and 2nd zone to speed up the beginning of the match.
  • Solo players and duo squads now have shorter redeploy time.
  • If very few players remain, redeploy may extend 1 more phase.
  • Supply Crate: Slightly increased chance of 2 and 3-star rarity weapons.
  • Loot: Increased build resource spawn rate by ~10% in Phoenix Royale.
  • Buy Station: When pointing at UI with a gun out, the gun will no longer fire.
  • Player class is now always lost on death, even after being revived by defibs.
  • General bug fixes to Phoenix Royale map.
General Gameplay
  • Added ability to turn off or customize Health Regen and Fall Damage in Custom Room matches
  • Battle Zone: After receiving 1 minute of continuous zone damage, the damage begins to increase.
  • Battle Zone: Improved "Arena" (Metropolis) zone profile.
  • Footsteps: Slightly increased walking footstep audio frequency.
  • Added inventory auto-sort and a toggle in Weapon Settings to turn it off.
Sandbox
  • Added ability to save buildable groups, and place them in other maps.
  • Added health and ammo dispenser gameplay objects.
  • Added race gate buildable object so race courses can be set up without enabling the advanced editor.
  • Added false shape objects. Like the false cube, but other shapes.
  • Added toggle wall object, which is an opaque wall that can be toggled with the field on/off/toggle actions.
  • Added function option and event trigger for hitting a target object.
  • Added ability to override default gear slot in player roles.
  • Added option for triggers to be activated with player’s hands instead of head.
  • Added event trigger for a buff being applied, so you can sell a buff in a shop that triggers arbitrary effects for the player.
  • Fixed bug selling ammo/resources/delivery cores from the shop.
  • Fixed bug placing target objects with the moving property enabled.
  • Fixed bug preventing timers that have if/else conditions from looping.
  • Fixed performance issue in advanced editor with some complicated events.
  • Fixed bug allowing hangout maps to show up in the main menu outside the hangout column when in a playlist.
  • Fixed advanced editor bug preventing access to some team variables incorrectly.
  • Fixed bug allowing run/sprint in Edit Mode.
General Bug Fixes
  • Tutorial: Fixed 2 edge-case soft-lock bugs.
  • If the last living teammate leaves, all players in ghost mode will be eliminated.
  • Combat Trial: Fixed issue causing bots to not spawn in the far South or West sides of the map.
  • Single Player: Fixed missing Play button when making Single Player reward progress, but not unlocking the reward.

General Update
  • Implemented essential improvements for better backend stability
  • Note: On Wednesday, Jun 26, 2024, around 8am Pacific, we’ll conduct scheduled maintenance that will cause you to lose connection if playing and will be sent to a screen asking you to restart the POP1 app. During that time you will lose stats from that game being played. Restarting the POP1 app will fix this and will only need to be done once.

Phoenix Royale Gameplay - Going Live with Phoenix Royale

Phoenix Redeploy
  • While active, players automatically redeploy as long as 1 team member is alive
  • Redeploy time gets longer each zone stage
  • After 3 zone stages, automatic redeploy is disabled
  • Once Redeploys are disabled, the only way to be revived is with defibs
Supply Crates: These crates eject loot when touched and refill each new zone stage

Loot Vaults: High value loot can be captured at these locations which are protected by Bureau bots

Gem Bars: A new item that can be collected and spent at Loot Shops

Loot Shop: Spend Gem Bars here on in-game items at locations around the map
  • Supply Items: Shakers, Bananas, Backpacks
  • Supply Drops: 2 levels of supply drops are available with high-rarity items
  • Weapon Upgrades: Guns can have their rarity upgraded
  • Classes: 3 classes are available, each tailored to different play styles
Phoenix Map

General Gameplay - Live Now
  • Run by clicking down the thumbstick and sprint by double clicking the thumbstick
  • Dive to fall faster when high in the air
  • Teammate Status Icons on the HUD
  • Battle Zone: Final stages of the zone will now shift/move
  • Battle Zone: Base zone damage has been increased 1->2 damage per second
  • Zone Shrinking Warning Music: This music will start to play when outside the safe zone when the battle zone begins shrinking
  • Guns Have Ammo On Pickup
  • Inventory Ammo Caps: Players are no limited on the amount of ammo they can store
  • Health Regenerates automatically if the player takes no damage for 10 seconds
  • Health/Shield Item Rebalance
    - Shield Shaker: Now only can hold 2 in 1 inventory slot
    - Shield Shaker: Shake time lowered 5->3 seconds
    - Bananas: Eating a banana will also replenish sprint stamina
    - Sodas: Both Health and Shields sodas now only stack 2, but heal 50 points
  • AWP Scope Glint: The scope now gives off a reflective effect that can help identify distant snipers
  • Gun balance changes:
    - Magnum: Min Damage increased 38->40
    - M60: Base Damage decreased 29->27
    - FAL: Full Damage Range increased 60->80 m
    - SPR: Base Damage increased 50->65
    - SPR: Bullet Speed increased 675->800 m/s
Sandbox - Advanced Editor
  • Added moving target parameter on Target buildable object
  • Added shop config panel and shop buildable for purchasing items/buffs/roles. Loot Shop buildable will be available on Phoenix Royale launch, May 31
  • Allow individual scope variables to be owned by object types besides players.
  • Added currency item buildable, and currency as a player property. Option to show currency hud in game.
  • Added elapsed time to RaceEnd trigger as an event property.
  • Added action GiveItem to directly add an item to a player’s inventory.
  • Added SpawnLootForPlayer action to spawn an item that can only be collected by a specific player and their teammates.
  • Added checkbox to Scoreboard to set if time is in ms.
  • Allow editor collapse/expand to function in view only mode (for non hosts)
  • Changed SpawnWithRarity to SpawnFromList. Functions the same for weapons, but can spawn other items using the action value as a quantity instead of rarity.
  • Changed respawn logic to be a weighted selection of valid points instead of the one 'best' point.
  • Changed race start trigger behavior to not cancel a race when re-entered. There is now a Cancel race gate type, and a CancelRace action to do this.
  • Fixed child buffs not getting removed when removing parent.
  • Fixed Apply/Remove buff actions not working on downed players.
  • Fixed See enemy outline/waypoint buff issue where they don't apply immediately.
  • Fixed Advanced Editor save bug causing incorrect rules to get saved after opening the panel.
  • Fixed player spawn area not working in solo games.
  • Fixed ping/waypoint colors for delivery points for late joiners and team rotation.
  • Fixed enabling triggers calling onTriggerEnter incorrectly.
  • Fixed location being unset in player functions.
  • Fixed target player being unavailable in DealDamage trigger.
  • Fixed game action item list initialization issue where it shows an AKM, but is actually empty until edited.
  • Fixed splash damage not affecting the target object.
  • Fix for failure to save map due to server auth token expiration.

  • MiniMap: Fixed ping placement being offset while moving and pinging on the minimap
  • Grenade: Fixed jittery bounce that could cause grenades to fall through the floor

Gun Balance Changes
  • Tec9: Min Damage increased 10->12
  • DT11: Base Damage decreased 13->12
  • MP9: Base Damage decreased 23->21

Sandbox - King of the Hill
  • King of the Hill game mode is now available to build and play in Sandbox
  • In the Sandbox Builder, find it in the Game Type drop-down menu
  • King of the Hill games can be played in hosted rooms and playlists
  • King of the Hill games will now show up in the Discovery Playlist


Sandbox Builder
  • Control Point build objects can be found in the Interactive category; use them for King of the Hill maps
  • Scoreboard build object can be found in the Interactive category; use it to display various stats about the match
  • Rules Library for saving custom rules templates
  • Map publishing limit has been increased! Players may now have up to 45 published maps.


Sandbox - Advanced Editor
  • The Advanced Editor gives players access to experimental new scripting features that allow the creation of endless new game types within Sandbox.
  • The Advanced Editor is off by default; turn it on by clicking Edit Rules on the Play tab, then setting the Advanced Editor toggle to ON. The “Event Editor” button will then be available on the Play tab.
  • Publish your creations with the new “Custom” game type

Quality of Life
  • Custom Rooms: Added the ability to permanently kick a player from a room

  • In the Sandbox Builder, with the Advanced Editor toggled on, the Event Editor button must be clicked twice to open the Event Editor panel.

December Monthly Match Rewards (Ends Dec. 31st)

Play an active game mode (Squads, Deathmatch, and Co-Op Bot Battle, etc.) to make progress towards the monthly rewards!

Monthly Matches Tiers:
* Powder Burn (1911 skin) - 2 Matches
* Style Points (Spray) - 5 Matches
* Powder Burn (AWP skin) - 10 Matches
* Livin’ on the Edge (Calling Card) - 15 Matches
* Hattie (Halfpipe) (Character skin) - 25 Matches

Select the MONTHLY tab in the Main Menu to see your progress.


Gameplay
  • Camera: Eye position is now lower & better matches eye height on characters
  • Gun balance changes:
    Sako: Increased base damage 55->60
    M60: Decreased min damage 20->18
    MK18: Increased base damage 23->25, increased min damage 14->15
    357 Magnum: Increased base damage 55->63
    MP9: Increased rounds per second 12->12.5


Quality Of Life
  • Quest: When Microphone is turned off on your headset, it will now show in-game on the General Settings
  • Victory Screen: Confetti now follows the player while walking around
  • Sandbox: Map creation limits have been increased! Players may now have 30 published maps and 100 drafts.


Bug Fixes
  • Climbing: Fixed grabbing a wall & turning causing players to clip into walls
  • Downed State: Fixed issue where moving in real life and dying near a wall could clip the player inside a collider
  • Fixed “teleportation” exploit caused by users changing dominant hand while gripping a wall
  • Single Player Mode: Rewards progress is now displayed correctly
  • Sandbox: Players with a large number of maps should be able to see their entire collection in the main menu now
  • Sandbox: Saving a copy of a published map now correctly shows the copy as unpublished
  • Sandbox: Loading and publishing a saved map no longer changes the title of that map
  • Sandbox: Jump Pads are now deleted correctly when editing maps
  • Networking: Fixed over 40 smaller netcode bugs
  • Networking: Reduced netcode bandwidth & assorted networking optimizations


Battle Royale Map Updates
  • The next Featured Sandbox area on the Evolving Map, Ironworks, is temporarily available in Custom Rooms
  • It will be available until the Holiday Evolving Map goes live on December 12th
  • On January 9th, the regular Evolving Map will return with Ironworks
