We are pleased to announce that Scorn is now Steam Deck Verified. This means that the game has been tested and confirmed to work perfectly on the Steam Deck, so you can now enjoy its haunting world on the go.

Last year's previously Xbox-exclusive, HR Geiger inspired survival horror game Scorn is making its way to PS5 later this year.

After a very lengthy development period, Scorn finally released on Xbox Series X/S and PC last year, with reviews being a bit mixed, though mostly on the positive side (including our own). Now, as revealed over on the PlayStation Blog, Scorn is making its way onto the PS5, offering up the decidedly fleshy game up to a whole new audience. While the game only has a vague release window of "later this year," the blog did go into some details behind the port, including how the DualSense controller will offer a new experience.

"As we were developing the game for PlayStation 5, we finally had the opportunity to tap into the potential of the DualSense wireless controller to immerse you even further in this twisted world," writes technical artist Jovan Vučković in the blog post. "It allows us to deepen the player’s immersion and to let the whole world “breathe” in a new way. Since there is no spoken dialogue in the game, we have put a strong emphasis on environmental storytelling, hence haptics are a great addition to this peculiar audio-visual experience."

To celebrate, we're launching a special physical edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, featuring the full game, SteelBook case, original soundtrack, and digital artbook.



As you may have noticed earlier, Scorn will be releasing on the PS5 with complete DualSense integration. This iteration will feature comprehensive support, not only incorporating haptic feedback and trigger resistance but also utilizing a health indicator on the controller's lightbar. We have spared no effort in enhancing your immersion throughout the game.

Greetings Scorn players,

We have some important updates to share with you. We will be implementing pre-caching of shaders to prevent stuttering during gameplay.

The previous update (FSR-Dec) lacked the PSO cache, causing some players to experience stuttering despite their configuration. This version of the PSO cache is improved and covers more cases to ensure that your gaming experience is as smooth as possible.

In response to feedback from some of our players, we are also adding Steam Trading Cards to the game. We hope that this feature will enhance your overall experience and provide an additional layer of engagement with Scorn.

Last but not least – Scorn is part of the Steam Spring Sale with both editions on sale at 40% off. So if you have yet to venture into the nightmarish labyrinth of Scorn, this is a great chance to do it.
