The biomechanical terrors of Scorn will release next fall




It has been a long ride since we first saw Scorn in 2016, but the horror shooter inspired by the works of H.R. Giger will finally release in October 2022. The release date trailer, above, show's precisely the kind of pseudosexual organic forms you should be prepared to deal with should you choose to play.



Developed and published by Ebb Software out of Belgrade, Serbia, Scorn is an "atmospheric first-person horror adventure set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry." The player, set adrift among the weirdness, has to solve puzzles and acquire new skills and tools to survive. Perhaps understand a bit of what's going on, even. Here's what's coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC at launch next year


Oh Xbox Game Pass, that subscription service I constantly forget that I have. It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised by new games I didn't expect to play (or had no plans to buy outright). Microsoft have detailed a bunch more games I'll likely be surprised by coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC when they launch over the next year or so - from epic space RPG Starfield, to Arkane's vampire hunting adventure Redfall. It looks like they're revealing more later this week too.

Meat hell FPS Scorn delayed into 2022

Giger-inspired first-person shooter Scorn was due to welcome players to its world of bone and cartilage this year, but not now. A new Kickstarter update says that the game has slipped into 2022, while explaining why the development team have been quiet over the past year.

Giger-inspired horror shooter Scorn is delayed again




The Giger-inspired horror-FPS Scorn has been around long enough that it was actually a candidate on Steam Greenlight, Valve's long-defunct approval process for potential Steam releases. At the time, its first of two parts was expected to arrive in 2017, but that didn't happen: In September of that year, a successful $223,000 Kickstarter campaign promised a 2018 release, but that also failed to materialize...

Horror game Scorn pushed into 2022

Scorn, the H.R. Giger-inspired horror game coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S, has been pushed into 2022.

Originally set to release at some point this year, publisher Kepler Interactive noted the 2022 date as part of its release slate in a press release announcing its formation.

The group is a joint venture between developers A44, Alpha Channel, Awaceb, Ebb Software, Shapefarm, Sloclap, and Timberline thanks to a financing round of $120 million.
