Zombie co-op game World War Z Aftermath unveils new, harder challenges

If I were to put together a list of all the most relaxing places to spend my time, a zombie apocalypse wouldn't be on there. Especially not the kind of apocalypse that you'll find in World War Z Aftermath, with fast zombies and near never-ending tides of the undead hungry for flesh. If, however, you've begun to find things a little tame, then the newest update for the game is for you as the developer behind Space Marine 2 has been hard at work on a new mode.

Today, we are releasing a new update that features 13 fresh mutators for Challenge Horde Mode, the addition of the Arizona XL map to Challenge Horde Mode, a new heavy weapon skin customization option, the premium Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack DLC, and the new - exceptionally tough - Extinction Challenge Mode!   • New Challenge Mode - Extinction.
  • New heavy weapon skins as rewards for completing Extinction Mode.
  • New Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack DLC, containing five gold floral patterns for the Geist 17MP pistol, Paladin LMG rifle, Keris V10 SMG, BSS-2 shotgun, and MAG-5 machine gun.
  • Added the Arizona map to the Horde Mode XL Challenge Mode.
  • Added 13 new mutators for Challenge Horde Mode, including:
    - Grenadier: The Bomber throws explosives until neutralized.
    - Myopia: After aiming, your vision becomes blurred.
    - Plague creatures: During the wave, a random special zombie and poison cloud appears.
    - Mass contamination: The Booster infects a larger group of zombies nearby.
    - Angry turrets: At the start of the wave, all deployed turrets become neutral, posing a deadly threat to both zombies and human players.
    - New advantages for all 8 Classes: Raise the health and damage of each class by 50%.
Resolved Issues

  • Fixed unlocking issues with the Iron Man portrait frame.
  • Fixed an issue in which some prestige perks did not work immediately after unlocking.
  • Fixed an issue in which the menu items in collections were unclickable.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players not seeing allied players’ messages in the PvP text chat.
  • Fixed an issue where a player could remain in the current party when accepting an invite to another party.
  • Fixed an issue with changing resolution when switching to Borderless Mode.
  • Fixed an issue in which aim-assist no longer works on lying, sleeping zombies.
