I have exciting news! You can now feast your ears on not one, not two - but three!! enthralling tracks from the upcoming soundtrack composed by Andreas Hald. From the very start of this project, we knew the music would be essential for the game experience. We needed alluring melodies that would sing of secrets hidden deep within the darkest of forests, grieving strings for the mournful souls that lost their way, and a heroic call to arms to drum up courage against the ever-coming hordes of Greed. Using a wide range of both new and old instruments Andreas gave us all of that and even more, as he captured a Mediterranean feeling of warmth and the awe-inspiring beauty of a mythical world long past. [h3]Achievements inspired by the conquest of ancient Greece [/h3]
Some of you might have spotted a few mysterious achievements on the Kingdom Two Crowns page here on Steam. Yes - we have been teasing the upcoming release! I am a little bit sad to say that "Win the final space battle using only the mecha-dolphin armada" is not a real achievement, but I am very happy to let you know that we will soon update the list with the actual achievements. Like "Hero of Olympus" - a true test for the most cunning crown protectors, an achievement that requires you to complete the whole Call of Olympus campaign in a single reign! Other achievements such as "Gift of Prometheus" and "That's Not Very Gneiss" will be more focused on experimenting with new abilities and strategies. The names might give you a clue as to what to do...!

Later this week we will share more details on the 2.0 update which will bring quality-of-life updates across all campaigns in Kingdom Two Crowns!

Additionally, we are excited to announce alongside Call of Olympus that Kingdom Two Crowns will receive a free 2.0 update! This update with a collection of Quality-of-Life updates is aimed at providing the best Kingdom Two Crowns experience we can: including options to turn off the tutorial ghost and a new save system supporting up to 10 save slots! Detailed patch notes will follow.

Finally, we are excited to announce that we are launching two brand-new cosmetic DLCs: Regent's & Archon's Royal Wardrobe! These new supporter pack DLCs provide no additional gameplay features, it is in short, a completely optional way for you to spice up your campaign and at the same time help and support us to work on new cool things for the Kingdom series.

Hey there it's time for a new development blog with yours truly, game director Angelica! First of all - I know many of you are excited about the upcoming release of Call of Olympus and want to know exactly WHEN you can jump on that ship to our favorite Greedified vacation destination. I won't be able to share a date today, but let's just say that we will be able to share a timeframe and some sort of news... tomorrow.

Let's dive into today's topic: boss fighting! You might have already spotted parts of our new Greed creature in the key art, so let's take a closer look at our slithering, hissing antagonist. This monumental Greed beast is truly a threat of epic scales!

From the very beginning of this project, we knew we wanted something big. A foe never before seen in the world of Kingdom, something that would truly test our players. We just weren't sure what that might be. Then one day I got a ping from Valentina, one of our artists, who said "I have an idea!" (which you can see pictured below) and I just went "YES!". And that was it.



Introducing a boss into Kingdom has been a new and exciting journey for our development team (with lots of prototyping and testing along the way!). I'm especially amazed at how our soundtrack composer Andreas Hald found ways to incorporate the music into the battle and absolutely nailed the feeling of a tug of war, where you constantly have to be on the lookout for danger while also keeping your eyes (and ears!) open for that opportunity to strike. Every enemy must have a weak point, right?

[h3]FLEET BOATS [/h3]

A major threat requires major weapons to fight. Not only will you have the new abilities in the game at your disposal, you will also have to utilize naval warfare to attack the beast from both land and water. With the new fleet mechanic, you'll be able to bring a small army of archers, ready to unleash a flurry of arrows from a ship that is sailing along with you as you charge into battle. At the very front of the ship you can see a mounted ballista, manned by one of your handy workers, sending those ballista bolts flying at the nearest target - causing devastating destruction in its wake!

Your fleet will be able to support your troops versus the new great threat

Ahh, look at that crystal clear, vivid blue water. Almost wish you packed your bathing suit, huh? Except... now you know what dangers lurk in the depths below.
