Today we have released update 0.55.4, which includes New Year's events, new customization elements, and some fixes.



[h2]New Year Event[/h2]

New Year trees and the Smuggler have appeared in the locations “Solnechniy”, “Tunnels”, “Black Sunset Camp”, “Big Village” and “Coast”. He met some bearded man on a sled and, in the best traditions of the post-apocalyptic world, robbed him. Now he gives out the loot in exchange for cards.

Collect and exchange gift cards to receive New Year's gifts: items, weapons in exclusive holiday skins, and New Year's treats. Gift cards can be obtained by completing quests, killing monsters, participating in events, gathering resources, and fishing.



Cards can be collected immediately after the update is released until January 10th. For those who do not have the possibility and time to collect cards, the opportunity to buy New Year's items is available in the in-game store until the event ends. Items will be available for sale immediately after the update, but for a limited time and will disappear from the shop at the end of the New Year's event.

- Character customization interface has been improved;
- Added new free elements of character customization: "leather boots" and "tricot";
- Added paid customization element in character customization: "Telnyashka";
- Fixed a problem with painting jeans in customization;
- Added new dance animations;
- Added a new greeting animation "Ku!" (for those who remember the unforgettable movie “Kin-dza-dza!”);
- Night vision device can be used from level 5 now;
- Fixed a problem with updating information in quick access slots;
- Mines can now stun a crocodile;
- Added new clan quests: "Activate the protective dome on the Coast," Killing the giant crab ", "Killing the crocodile ";
- In the location "Coast" near the tower, now displays the time of operation activated dome;
- In the location "Coast" added a bulletin board with quests, which works when the dome is active;
- Increased experience for activating the dome in the "Coast" location by 150%;
- Increased experience for completing the quest "Kill the Metal-Junk-Boar";
- In the character selection menu, the character edit button is now highlighted: many players do not know that characters can be edited at any time;
- Fixed a problem with incorrect display of the number of caught fish in the chat log.

As you know, we’re working on the next high-level PvP location “Testing grounds”. Currently, we finished our job on two new events for the upcoming location, and we’re working on the filling of the location and its improvement, and developing the new craft. There is still a lot of work ahead and we will try to share information with you about future content whenever possible.



In the meantime, we are working on future content, today we have prepared a small update in which we have expanded the possibilities for customizing characters by adding a new set of male and female heads. In addition, all users now can purchase sets of heads and clothes from the DLC separately in the game itself, right in the character editing window.



Also, new paint with "Strong Camouflage" has been added to the store.

On the occasion of Black Friday, all new items in the store are available at a discount until the end of the weekend!

• Added equipment type "Pharmacist" to be displayed in the thrift store filter;
  
• Improved animation of the character turning;
  
• Now, when interacting with NPCs, it is impossible to drop items: players often drop items by dragging them with the mouse, but without getting into the window. At the same time, they click “Yes”, answering the question “Are you sure you want to drop the item?”. This is now out of the question;
  
• Improved dialog boxes for dropping and destroying items to prevent accidental dropping of items;
  
• Now, when you open the in-game menu, the event widget does not switch to the active quest;
  
• The server list now can be updated no more than once every 5 seconds;
  
• Fixed a situation where a character blocks the passage to another location.;
  
• Added the ability to copy chat messages.

Today Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin left the wold of WTL and with it, all trading cards and Halloween goods were removed from the in-game store.

Along with this, the following changes have made to the game:

• Artifact spawn points in the Exclusion Zone are now more unpredictable. Artifacts now appear randomly in different locations, and the number of possible locations and their spawn frequency has been increased;
  
• Minor interface improvements: now, if an item can be put into account inventory, it will be indicated in the item description;
  
• Installation of equipment through closed doors is prohibited;
  
• It is forbidden to use a shovel when falling from a height;
  
• Fixed a rare client crash if the character was in the water when entering the game;
  
• Removed echo when using medicines in closed rooms;
  
• Improved animation of the character's legs when turning the body.

Today we’ve published a hotfix in which several bugs that cause game crashes when you use smiles in chat and appeared problems with the interface when use markers were fixed.
Along with this, we have made some changes to the graphics settings. The “Texture pool size” option was removed from the settings because this option applies automatically according to the characteristics of the graphics card. This approach allows the most effective use of video memory and RAM in those systems where there is a lot of it (16 GB or more).
