Description of update 0.57.9

Hello fighters! Today we have prepared the 0.57.9 update, with which the Halloween event begins, and a huge number of changes aimed at improving the game. There was a transition to a newer version of the game engine Unreal Engine 4, an adaptive mechanism for optimizing animations was implemented, design improvements of some locations were made, as well as many different fixes. Let's start in order!

Halloween Event




Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin has once again returned to the world of WTL. This time he is not alone. Along with him, there is a new mysterious creature that you will have to deal with! With the help of special amulets, this creature is able to enter the minds of innocent adventurers and collectors of anything valuable, wreaking havoc and panic! Mr. Nuke-Pumpkin also brings both familiar and all-new disgusting gifts that can be exchanged for cards.

The Pumpkin and Toxic Pumpkin masks, a special Hellbike moped, and some new nasty items to inflict pain will be available for trade! The classic Skull Mask and Devil's Helmet are available from the in-game store.



The Halloween event has begun and will run until November 8th, 23:59 UTC. After the event ends, Mr. Nuclear Pumpkin will stay for a while to give everyone time to exchange their gift cards for something of value.

Redesigned “Black Sunset” camp


The Black Sunset Camp in the Eastern Territories location has been globally redesigned to more closely reflect the spirit of the post-apocalyptic world.



There are currently no other changes to the Black Sunset Camp, but we are working on adding new quests and new NPCs to extend the story of the game world.

Replacing the “Flame” paint




The Flame clothing paint that was available from the gunsmith was replaced with another. It kept its original color tones but took on a more familiar camouflage style. Those clothes that have already been colored in this paint will automatically update their pattern. In addition, we have slightly adjusted the recipe for the production of this paint.

The new paint is now available at the gunsmith under the names "Camouflage" from 14 to 21.

Game engine update


A migration to a newer version of the Unreal Engine 4 has been made. In this version many old bugs of the engine have been fixed and new ones have been added :-). We hope that the overall stability of the game will be higher, internal testing has not revealed any serious problems associated with the updated version of the game engine.

Other fixes


- NO-PK mode is now active in the "Arena of Drones" location. Since now players of the opposite faction cannot be in this location, the PVP mode has lost its relevance: players of the same faction have no need to fight with each other and interfere with the gameplay. This will prevent accidental loss of reputation during events;
- Fixed an issue that caused smoke from smoke grenades to block the collimator sight;
- Implemented adaptive animation optimization mechanism. Game client performance is expected to be better, especially with a large number of characters in the frame;
- Improved recon drone synchronization;
- Improved recon drone range parameters;
- Fixed issues with some weapon skins at certain lighting settings;
- Fixed an issue with sandstorm rendering in the Canyon location during equipment setup and in safe zones;
- Fixed issues with L96A1 "Tiger" paint: the rifle thrown on the ground was displayed as a common rifle, without paint;
- Fixed problems with container materials;
- Updated protective dome particles at checkpoints in "Canyon" location and "Testing Grounds" location;
- The chance of dropping a drone and a detonator for the "Burdock" bomb is now 0;
- The story quest "Artifact "Nightwatch" can no longer be canceled;
- Fixed incorrect display of PvP points contribution to clan development;
- Fixed an issue where NPC Kuzmich could issue a quest that should be issued by another NPC;
- Fixed a design bug in sector E2-8, E3-4 and E2-7 of the "Canyon" location;
- Based on suggestions from players, new objects and shelters were added to the Canyon location in sectors E1-5, E1-6 and E2-3;
- Lamps have been added to merchants in the "Canyon" location so that they don't sit in the dark;
- Fixed descriptions of some quests in the quest log;
- Fixed a problem with the quest "Cockroach Breeding Ground", which occurred if the player did not have enough free space in the inventory;
- Fixed a problem with the drawing distance of a shelter in the "Testing Grounds" location in sector D3-1: the objects stopped being displayed in the distance too early;
- WSC PDW armor penetration value increased by 5-7 (min-max);
- Changed mechanics of firing single shots. Now when firing single shots quickly, the recoil is accumulated more strongly. Thus "spamming" with single shots will be similar to automatic firing and will not give an advantage to players who used to do it with macros on gaming mice;
- Fixed Hi-tech armor texture bugs;
- Fixed an issue with containers in the Bunker location;
- Symbiot in the location "Bunker" received new running animations and a new attack. Changed the danger level of this monster;
- Updated the clothes of Valera in the "Black Sunset" camp;
- Replaced running sounds of bears in the location "Swamp";
- Changed fishing settings: the time until the nibble will be a few seconds longer, but the time of "fighting with the fish" will be reduced, and the ability to pull the fish - increased. Thus, fishing will become a little more comfortable;
- Fixed bugs in the explosions of the mine "Burdok", which led to unstable operation of the server;
- Fixed a bug that caused the game client to crash when moving between the locations "Territory of Minaev" and "The Solnechniy Outskirts" through the village "Engineering";
- Bodies on the quest "Search for the group "Radar" were replaced with the bodies of Confederation fighters;
- The monocular has been given the ability to work as a target pointer in a group. You can do this by pressing the middle mouse button (scroll). You can send up to ten pointers in total, each sending of a target pointer consumes battery according to the number of players in the group (recipients of the target pointer);
- Fixed bugs in the design of the "Eastern Territories" location;
- Made many other minor fixes and improvements.

Description of update 0.57.8

Good day, fighters! Today we have released update 0.57.8, along with which the long-awaited event "Quench The Thirst with Gasoline" begins, and was added a lot of new features!

“Quench The Thirst with Gasoline” Event




The powerful cybernetic wolf RW-01 is back again! Just like last time, NPC Biker appeared in the locations with it. He is a longtime friend of Grisha Mazuta and, like Grisha, he loves motorcycles. But if Grisha is "for practicality," then his friend prefers beauty and aesthetics. Therefore, he has with him valuable goods for the locals: a stylish motorcycle Scrambler and equipment. You can get them if you bring what Biker needs - chrome bolts.

Together with Biker, in the locations "Coast", "Big Village", "Eastern Territories" and "Swamps" at night in the game you can meet the drone RW-01.



This event has not received any changes and has exactly the same balance as last year. Also in the store (and only in the store) there is a specialized and stylized scrambler "Ride Or Die". This motorcycle will be available for sale as part of the event.



The event begins when the update is released and will end on the 11th of July. The biker will remain in the locations for a while so that all players can exchange bolts.

New equipment for factions


In this version, faction players received an expansion of their arsenal. First of all, a new clan technology was added - "Faction Arsenal 2". By unlocking this skill, clan leaders and deputy leaders will be able to get a quest to create a scout drone from the gunsmiths in the " Testing Grounds" location. The quest to create a drone is issued once a day. The drone can be used only by players who are members of the clan, in which the technology "Arsenal of faction 2" is opened. As for the requirements of the character, the drone requires level 35 and 6 intelligence.



The drone is able to illuminate the identification of enemy faction players and transmit this identification to players in the group. The drone also has a combat ability - it can self-destruct, dealing damage to an opponent. But since the drone is not very cheap, this use is not always justified.

The drone can be destroyed by shooting it down. Partially damaged drones can be repaired with i-SAAC, but this requires launching the drone and requires a second player to repair it. The drone also has a charge that is recharged by NDP accumulator M1.

Another novelty for faction players is the remote-controlled "Burdock" bomb. Its purchase requires the Arsenal Faction 1 clan technology. Unlike the drone, only the engineer can use the Burdock Bomb. The "Burdock" bomb can be defused, which is awarded as an achievement. The process of defusing the bomb is like a minigame.

New quests


New quests have been added to the game at Leshiy in the "Swamp" location, as well as at the fisherman Tikhon in the ""Big Village"" location. Completing these quests, players will be able to get recipes for the creation of three stimulators:

- Stimulator "Mustang": This stimulator increases stamina by 1-3 units (but no more than 10) and works for 20 minutes. Gives minor chemical poisoning.
- Stimulator "Fortune": This stimulator increases 1 or 2 stamina points (but no more than 10) and lasts 20 minutes. Luck makes you slightly drunk.
- Stimulator " Smartass ": This stimulator increases by 1-3 units (but no more than 10) of intelligence and works for 30 minutes, gives a slight radiation effect.

Other changes


- In-game store on sale paint cans "Izolenta";
- MSR-12 "Izolenta" can now be put in the account inventory (even though it was never on sale);
- Added new fish needed for new stimulators. Added recipes for cooking new fish;
- Added new medicament Detox, which cancels the effects of stimulants. You can buy it from merchants;
- Faction merchants at roadblocks in the " Testing grounds " location now wear faction armor;
- The faction players' PDAs now have their own look;
- Added HP ammo for 338LM HP;
- Increased armor penetration coefficient of 12Ga M1/S1 bullet for PvP;
- Coefficient of armor piercing 12Ga bullet M1/S1 for PvE became standard;
- Changed 3d-model of the “Heart” artifact;
- Changing faction with NPC Roaming Trader now resets the revival point to the standard point in the location. This will eliminate the cases when the Black Sunset players go from the Black Sunset Camp to change faction and after death they respawn in the Black Sunset Camp being in the Confederation;
- Fixed bugs that could occur when a character dies in the Gravity Concentrate anomaly;
- Fixed minor errors in the design of the "Canyon" location;
- Fixed minor errors in the design of the "Coast" location;
- Fixed minor errors in the design of the "Testing Grounds" location;

"Solidarity" paint cans


The "Solidarity" skin is once again available in the in-game store for a limited time and at a discount. This time, the "Solidarity" skin is in the form of a paint can.

Fighters, we have some bad news! Update 0.57.6 will not be released this Friday. It is available for download now. This version adds a new, rare in-game event, as well as various improvements and fixes to the game.



The "Project-X" event


Some of you may have seen this event in the game before. This event has been the source of many rumors and theories, no one could ever have predicted the next launch of this event. Some even thought it was a fake and a hoax. We can now pull back the curtain of secrecy and officially announce that the Project-X event has been finalized and officially added to the game. It will happen more often, on all servers, not just a few, and in different locations. It is going to be very rare and very unexpected!

An April Fool's Day mini-event


The April Fool's mini-event is gaining! The other day you've already started experiencing inexplicable anomalies in the game, with lizards not where they usually are, or having to play for a crate. The stakes have been raised, and now from tomorrow the various things that can't be tolerated without a burn ointment will happen even more often! However, now you'll have to do a bit of Wubba Lubba Dub Dub to get the amulet bonuses as well.

Other changes


  • We continue to fill in the world of our game, and this time the houses in the Engineering Settlement have been improved;
  • A quick hit with the Combat Bream no longer causes weapons to lock and character movement problems;
  • Combat Bream will no longer move the character in the 3D inventory view;
  • Fixed an issue where multiple tracks were playing at the same time during events;
  • The cursed house in the abandoned camp has been made even creepier;
  • The quick ammo type change button has been removed from the game, but the ammo type change itself works and will be done automatically or through the inventory when needed.

Description of the update 0.57.5

Good day, fighters! Today we have prepared update 0.57.5, adding new quests, various improvements, and new objects. The mechanics of lock-picking doors and fishing have been reworked, various many minor errors and shortcomings have been fixed.



The fire department at the "Minaev's Territories"


The new object has appeared not far away from Depot in the "Minaev's Territories" location - the Fire Department.



This area will be interesting to 7-10lvl players and contains several mini-quests. Also, players will be able to find a safe in this area with good rewards for these levels. Thus, the world of Will To Live Online becomes more filled.

Updated lockpick mechanics


Lock-picking of the doors is now interactive and directly depends on your skills as a player.



Players have to find the correct sequence of the pins. As a reward for lock-picking (in addition to the items already available), the player who opens the lock will be able to get additional valuable loot in the stashes behind this door. Thus, by opening doors with lockpicks, players will receive more valuable loot than before.

1) The difficulty of lock-picking is determined by the number of pins.
2) Attempts to press the pins (both successful and unsuccessful) can break lockpicks. A failed attempt has a higher chance to break the lockpick.
3) The corresponding Engineer skills will no longer increase the chance of lockpicking, but increase the chance of saving lockpicks.
4) Boxes behind closed doors (many, but not all) now realize they are hidden behind these doors. After opening the lock of the door for the character who performed this opening, it becomes possible to receive additional loot in one of the boxes that are behind this door. Moreover, the quantity and quality of loot are depend on the complexity of the castle, and the “bonus” itself is valid only once after the fact of opening. Then the more difficult the hacked door lock, the better the reward.
5) In the "Canyon" location the doors at the outposts are closed with 4 pins locks - they are easy enough to crack (approximately 7-15 seconds). We didn't make these doors difficult to open, as players use closed doors as a tactical element.

The "Dead Forest" location


The color correction of the "Dead Forest' location has been made. Now, this location looks even more atmospheric at any time of the day and in any weather at the maximum settings.





New fishing mechanic


Players can no longer search for letters on the keyboard while fishing. While fishing, you need to hold the fish so that it does not fall off the line and gently pull it out when it gets tired of resisting.
