Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR News

Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR has been updated to version 1.0.398. This build contains the following changes:

• Fixes an issue where games fail to launch on some Insider flights of Windows
  
• The default renderTargetScale in settings has been changed from 1 to 2. This new default value will support higher application resolution multipliers in Steam resulting in clearer visuals.
  
• Fixes an issue where users with special characters in their username would not see their games in the Mixed Reality home
  
• Proximity sensor state is now correctly reported to apps
  

Note that the settings file has changed in this update which will revert previous changes to the settings file. Please customize the file again after the update with your preferred settings.

Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR has been updated to version 1.0.373.

Input Configuration – Customize the input mapping for your Windows Mixed Reality controllers with the Steam Input configuration menu. This will introduce a one time breaking change for previous customizations as you will need to reconfigure your settings for the Window Mixed Reality Controller.
Improved effective resolution for all apps. Note that this change will not provide a resolution improvement when using an application resolution scaling value greater than 150%.
Fixed a number of reliability issues.
