Big Bang Update: Delivery Timing Change to the Official Soundtrack

Cosmic Cats,

We wanted to update you all that we’re facing a delay in producing the expanded soundtrack album due to some personal life events, most notably that one of our composers is expecting their first child! We will now release the full download version of Big Bang on July 9.

In the meantime, we’d like to offer you a sneak peek of the new bops to come in the form of “Marsmalade”, the 7th track of the Genesis Noir soundtrack. That new track, along with a complimentary set of gorgeous digital wallpapers using art from the game, can now be accessed if you update the soundtrack app via Steam!

This update is already live! If you have automatic updates on Steam turned off, you’ll want to click Update in your Library. Then, next time you play the album, you’ll see Marsmalade appear as a new playable track!

The digital wallpaper can be found if you select Browse Local Files from your Steam Library, and then open the Wallpapers folder.

Thanks very much for your patience as we finish up the expanded soundtrack!
With jazziness,
Skillbard (composers) & Feral Cat Den (developers)

Vote in the IGF Audience Choice Award!

Finalists have been revealed for the 23rd annual awards ceremony of the Independent Games Festival (IGF), and we're thrilled and flattered for Fellow Traveller games to have been nominated for awards!

We received 4 nominations for Genesis Noir!! The game is up for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, and additionally was nominated for Excellence in the Audio, Narrative, and Visual Art categories. AND also got an honorable mention for the Nuovo award, which is given to games that show exceptional innovation.

Our label mates, In Other Waters and Paradise Killer were also nominated, for Excellence in the Narrative Visual Art and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize respectively!

As you can imagine, we're so grateful to have been nominated, and very pleased for our nominated label mates as well! The full list of nominated games this year really showcases an incredible list of unique, creative, and beautiful games from talented and lovely people in the indie space.

There's also an Audience Choice award, for which we encourage you to cast your vote!

Anyone at all can vote, so long as you do so before Monday, May 24 at 11:59pm PT.

IGF's 2021 nominees announced, mostly correct

Videogame awards are good for three things: they encourage people to continue creating new work; they direct attention towards particular pebbles among the otherwise amorphous landslide of new game releases; and they give bystanders like me something of mercifully little consequence to gripe about when nominations don't align with our personal tastes.

I'm sad to report that the Independent Games Festival has delivered only two out of three in 2021. The nominations for this year's IGF Awards were announced yesterday, but they have left me little to gripe about.

Fellow Traveller's The Invisible Hand is Out Now!

Our publisher, Fellow Traveller is an indie games label publishing innovative story-driven games. Their newest game, The Invisible Hand is out today!

The Invisible Hand is a satirical take on stock market trading, where you’ll be empowered to pursue wealth and success… at the cost of everything else, in a story of finance and personal responsibility.

You begin the game on your very first day at the trading firm FERIOS, a brokerage where they turn a blind eye to breaking the rules as long as you deliver results. Profit is what matters and the rules don’t apply to winners. Plenty of others want your position, so it’s up to you to make money, at any cost.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Congrats on your new job, and welcome to FERIOS. It's time to make some money.

Buy the stocks going up, sell before they go down. Short the ones that are going to fall (or the ones you’re going to make fall). The more money you make, the bigger your commission. And you want that commission, don't you? Well don’t worry, the rewards are limitless, if you’re hungry enough.

We’re one big happy team here at Ferios and nothing brings the team together like competition.

So in the spirit of togetherness you better meet your daily profit targets and beat your coworkers’ results if you want to keep your job. We won’t hesitate to fire anyone who can’t or won’t do what it takes to succeed...
