Unique Item Design Competition

I'll be adding some new Unique items to the game early next week and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get some designs the community would like to see into the game. Anyone who submits a design which we end up using, will get their name in the game credits page and 500 credits per item!

The general idea is to create a new tier of level 50 uniques that are slightly more powerful than what is currently available, but with more drop rarity than what currently exists so that they hold their value better. Stat combinations should be ones that are likely to be well sort after. These uniques should also try to make use of the new cosmetics where possible so that we have more variety. If possible, try to use names and themes that tie into the game's lore/storyline. We'll be looking for designs from all item categories.

If you wish to submit an idea that falls slightly outside of the above parameters that is okay. For example, it might be fun to add some lower level items which have some weird (but still useful) stat combinations. Just remember that you should keep your ideas as balanced as possible if you want to be picked. Anything too overpowered is not likely to be chosen.

Notes:
  • All submissions must be in English. However don't worry about getting the stat or items names exactly right. I should be able to figure out what you mean.

  • The name you put in your email is what we'll put in the game credits if you're picked, so make sure it's something you are happy to make public. It can be your full real life name or your username, or just a nickname. Whatever works for you.

  • Most unique items should have four or five stats, each rolling 40-45% at level 50. You can go outside of these rules but it must still be balanced. For example if you have a +80% stat you're probably going to need to have negatives in there to balance it, or you'll need to have less stats etc.

  • As you probably know, clothing pieces have stats that can only appear on certain item types. For the most part, uniques should stick to these rules. We may accept items which don't strictly follow these parameters but only if they include some negative stats, lower rolls, or less overall stats to balance them.

  • Your base item and cosmetic item must already exist in the game!

  • I will be picking entries on Monday 20th of June so please try to send you submissions in before then otherwise they might be missed.

  • You can submit as many entries as you like!

  • If you have submitted a good idea, but we feel the item isn't quite balanced enough then we may modify certain aspects of it. However in this case you'll still be credited and you'll still receive your reward.
