IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz News

Hi All,

To celebrate the 1st Anniversary of the release of IL-2 Sturmovik Desert Wings - Tobruk, Team Fusion Simulations invites players to a special online community event on TFS Server 3.

Time: 2030 to 2330 UTC
Date: Saturday 14th August



The server has a maximum of 100 players, so make sure you log in at that time to have the best chance of getting in.

Special invitation to those wo have never experienced the adrenalin rush of online play.

Jump in your favourite Desert War aircraft, or two, catch up with old and new friends on comms, and best of all, have fun.

If your new to online flying and or comms, but want to try, we will have a dedicated TeamSpeak channel for you to drop in, say G'Day (Pattle's an Aussie) and hopefully get you more comfortable in that space.

There, you will catch up with TFS's Pattle, and other current and new players.

Following on from our very popular Spitfire image update, showcasing 4K textures and new trueSKY images, here are new images of the Bf 109 and trueSKY.

Firstly, thankyou for such an overwhelmingly positive response to the first 4K Bf 109E-7 Trop screenshot we recently posted here.

Over the coming week we will be releasing more screenshots of 4K aircraft, including the Hurricane, Tomahawk, Kittyhawk and more Bf109 images.

First, one of the most famous aircraft of all time. The Supermarine Spitfire.

Some of these screenshots will also include WIP trueSky. A very exciting development for the Cliffs of Dover Blitz/Desert Wings Tobruk universe.

Implementation of trueSKY is a massive undertaking for our very small team involved. Whilst it has taken a good deal longer than anticipated to release, we remain committed to trueSKY and look forward to sharing further WIP images in future updates.

You can see already, that the ability to have 4K graphics, along with the move to trueSKY, and VR will add in incredible amount of immersion to Cliffs of Dover Blitz, and Desert Wings Tobruk.

Please note, with 4k, players will have the option to use 4k, or continue with 2K, depending no doubt, on their machine capabilities and personal preferences.
