FAQ of Known Issues

Hi everyone!

We are delighted to finally let you play the full version of Sable. We really hope you enjoy the game and can't wait to hear your thoughts. Please remember that Sable is best played with a controller!

You may encounter issues in the release version of Sable. Some of them have easy workarounds you can try if you come across one of them - fast traveling to another location or restarting the game usually does the trick.

Some of our known issues:
- Performance issues and frame drops may be encountered, especially in areas such as the Palm Forest and the Petrified Forest.
- Hoverbike not responding to call, or disappearing. This can be solved by fast traveling through the map menu.
- Occasional crashes and freezes. Please see the section below on how to report these.
- Graphic model clipping, flickering shadows, collision issues

If you experience crashes or freezes, or find any additional issues that break the game or hinder you from progressing in the game, please report them to the Raw Fury support portal. The devs would really appreciate if you attach a video or a screenshot of the issue, and a copy of your save file. That will help us a lot in our investigation!

You can find the support portal here:
https://rawfury.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1

To send a save file, attach a zipped copy of this folder to your report:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Shedworks\Sable

Thank you for playing Sable! Happy Gliding!

Sable review: A beautiful, meditative journey through an engrossing world

Sable stands in stark contrast to many conventions of open worlds. Devoid of conflict and combat, this is a world leaning entirely on the strength of its visuals, worldbuilding and exploration. However, developers Shedworks pull this feat off with impressive style, delivering an enriching experience that succeeds in spite of some technical issues.

You explore an almost entirely freeform open-world as the titular Sable, a young girl embarking on her Gliding. This pilgrimage sees her exploring the wastelands of Midden on a quest for a mask. More than just a headpiece, these embody a character’s role in Midden’s society: the Mechanists who assemble and maintain hoverbikes favour austere metal masks, for example, while Climbers are signified by cartoonish lizard helmets.

The game reassures you from the very beginning that there are no wrong paths to take, and Sable remains dedicated to this ethos for its twenty-odd hour runtime. Collecting three badges for any type of mask, earned by completing quests, grants it to you via a wonderfully unusual ritual. Once you’ve assembled your mask of choice, you’re free to finish the game whenever you please. However, this would be doing a grave disservice to an oft-magical experience.
