Alpha 0.30.13
Features & Improvements
  • Improved the movement system

    • Even if there is no path to the target available, the unit will walk as far as possible
Bug fixes
  • Fixed missing missing weapon icon for the BBD revolver
  • Fixed a visual bugs with crouching passive units
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from cenceling operation in the custom unit creator
  • Fixed that units would not walk towards targets on not walkable towers
  • Fixed that player could walk through walls while riding animals
  • Fixed workshop icon generation for units with clothing items
  • Fixed a bug that placed the player into the ground after changing his animal, vehicle or siege weapon

  • Heavily improved the movement system navigation data generation performance for maps with many buildings
  • If a player controlled ship hits the terrain, it will get stuck and try to drop the units on board

  • The application will freeze less when loading the game
  • Ranged units have an additional attack range now

    • + 50% attack range

  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from starting some game modes with a player in a plane
  • Fixed the selection of units on ships

Alpha 30 is now available!


Content
  • Added a modern rhib boat
  • Added empty vehicles as placement object

  • Added modular building parts

    • There are wood, stone and concrete parts which snap to each other
    • Each part is destructible and destroying some parts might result in other parts being destroyed
  • Added new passive units

    • 3x hurt unit
    • 2x sleeping unit
    • Scared unit
    • Crying unit
    • Engineer

    • Units that are lying down can be placed on beds and tables

    • Add new placement modes that allow you to place up to 20 default units at once in different formations

    • Most of the development time of alpha 30 was used to develop a new flexible and accessible movement system for the future of the game
    • It provides more information about the classification of a position in the world which means that the AI has more data to work with
    • This opens up new possibilities like a cover point system (alpha 31) and AI improvements (alpha 31+)
  • AI improvements

    • Units are way more likely to find own paths and split up instead of walking in lines
    • Fixed many cases where the AI tried to attack things that it was not allowed to
  • Added an option to set the player start health
  • Added filters to custom unit creator equipment selection

    • Load/save panel

      • Selects save name input field automatically

    • Performance improvements in some areas
    • The game should work more the same on all platforms now

      • A lot of problems got reported, that weren't really replicable because it only happened on some systems

    • Also, this should fix some crashes
  • Added weekly map competition in game submission system in main menu and custom battle editor
  • The winner of the weekly map competition can now choose a content object based on the reward description

Alpha 29 is now available

  • Added A zeppelin which drops bombs
  • Added a rocket launcher vehicle (MLRS)

  • Players can now control ships

    • Just kill the captain and go to the control wheel to control it
  • Hostage game mode

    • Place one or more hostages
    • The player has to get to the hostage to free them
    • After that, the hostage will follow the player (or stay if you want to)
    • The goal is to bring the hostage to a selected extraction zone
  • You can now choose between different crosshairs in the settings
  • Improved the hitmarker position (Now stays at the hit point)
  • Improved helicopter options

    • Added an option to not use missles
    • Added a skill slider to helicopters (Adjusts accuracy)

Next update
Actually there were some more features, like campaigns, planned for Alpha 29.
UnfortunatelyI don't have much time for the development at the moment, so that I decided to publish the existing new features and fixes now.
There will probably be some small patches in March to add the missing features and improve some areas of the game.
Basically the plan is to release the missing parts of Alpha 29 and 30 as soon as they are ready, so that you don't have to wait a month for the next major update.
