Details on the update to version 1.09

This small update fixes a pesky bug in Case 1:

If speaking to Sabine Martin about the back room and the option to drop the subject was chosen, it wouldn't set the flag to close off the lead which allows Albert Martin to be accused. This caused the game to become unwinnable if Andrew Montgomery was made angry.

Previous saves are unaffected, however if already stuck in this situation, a game restart or load from a previous save will be necessary to proceed.

Also the save game system has been overhauled to fix an issue where saves were automatically overwritten to the same slot if some previous saves were deleted. There is also a message added when the maximum number of save slots (50) is reached, rather than just overwriting the save.

Update to Version 1.08

Based on player feedback, this new patch allows cases to be declared unsolvable when a suspect is added to the Casebook, in addition to closing off all leads.

Previous save games will still work, however the option to declare the case unsolvable will not appear if a suspect has already been added.

Trading Cards available

Trading Cards, backgrounds, badges, and emoticons are now available for Lamplight City! If you have already played the game, check your Steam inventory for cards that have dropped automatically depending on the time you've played.

Patch v 1.07

Some minor updates today:

- Removed casebook objective to speak to Jonas Usher in Case 3 after closing off his office as a lead.

- Updated German newspaper text and book translations.

This patch does not invalidate saved games.

Post-Release Patch Notes

Lamplight City has been patched a few times after release. The latest version is v 1.06 (version number visible on the Settings screen)

Major bug fixes are as follows:

- Fixed a bug which made Case 1 impossible to declare unsolvable if conversations were failed in a specific order.

- Fixed a conversation between Miles and Bill repeating in front of the Spectre Society after getting kicked out

- Fixed an issue where returning to Upton’s apartment in Case 5 would trigger the ending encounter prematurely

- Fixed a bug where the ambient sound from the coffee house would continue playing if the player made the connection between victims while there.

- Fixed the "Thorough" achievement so it should now trigger.

- Mac and Linux versions of the game will now remembr the language settings.

- Lip sync errors in Linux have been corrected.

Previously saved games will still work.
