We've got an extra special livestream of Mars Horizon on Friday June 19th, 3-5pm UK / 4-6pm CEST / 7-9am PT!


We'll be playing the game, picking up after the demo ends, and revealing the final 2 space agencies featured in the game.

We'll also be joined by Emmet Fletcher, Head of the ESA Branding and Partnerships Office at the European Space Agency. He'll be telling us all about the challenges missions face in real life and chatting about what its like working with rockets and astronauts.

Emmet and the devs will be live to answer your questions and chat to our Community in our Discord!

Mars Horizon is a strategy simulation game about leading a major space agency and guiding humanity to Mars. It allows you to write your own alternate history of space exploration, building rockets, launching payloads, assembling your launch centre, and directing missions from the control room. The team has made the game truly authentic as it was created with support from the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency.

We're livestreaming the Mars Horizon demo and doing an AMA with the UK Space Agency on Wednesday June 17th, 3-5pm UK / 4-6pm CEST / 7-9am PT!


Andrew Kuh, Head of International Spaceflight Policy from the UK Space Agency, joins us as we play the Mars Horizon demo. He'll talk about what it's really like working at a space agency and get some tips you can use in the game. Give us your questions for Andrew in the Auroch Discord.

We've got some exciting news, Mars Horizon is part of The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, running from June 16th @ 5pm GMT until June 22nd @ 5pm GMT! 👨‍🚀

The Steam Game Festival shines a spotlight on games set to be released within the next year. You can try out demos, connect with the developers, and wishlist the games for a reminder of when they launch! Here's how to get the most out of The Steam Game Festival.

[h2]Play the Mars Horizon demo[/h2]
We will have a demo of Mars Horizon - available to download from the Mars Horizon Steam store page for you to play during the festival. Choose from 3 space agencies, play through Era 1 of space exploration, build your base, design rockets, and put the first human in space!

Please Note: The Mars Horizon demo is a shortened version of the Mars Horizon beta. It does not include any beta feedback changes implemented into it - we are still working hard on these!

[h2]Check out our special livestreams[/h2]

We will be doing 2 livestreams during the festival. Both streams will have special guests and the devs on stream available for live chat. One of the livestreams will also include a special feature reveal - we will be revealing the final 2 playable space agencies! Which ones do you think they will be?

For both of the livestreams we will be accepting and answering questions for our guests and the devs in our Discord. Make sure you're a member to get your questions answered.

If you signed up for a Mars Horizon beta key you should now be able to find it in your inbox. If it's not there make sure to check your Spam folder, just in case.

UPDATE: Sign ups for the Mars Horizon beta are now closed - we're not taking any more applicants. Thanks to all our awesome beta testers - you can still play until May 4th @ 9am GMT. You can still join our Discord to discuss the game! You can also sign up here to stay up to date with all the latest Mars Horizon news including the release date!

[h2]Quick info[/h2]
The beta will be running until 4th May 2020 at 9am GMT. Redeem your key before then and get as much play time in as possible. The beta will not be playable after then.

The Mars Horizon beta is only available on Windows through Steam. It's just a sample of the full game as Mars Horizon is still in active development. With your feedback we hope to make it even better.

The beta allows you to experience the journey as far as the Moon. The full game takes you to Mars and beyond.

If you're struggling to redeem your beta key or with installing the game on your PC, check out our FAQ. It should answer the most common questions and issues.

If the FAQ doesn't solve your problem, you'll find an email address in there that you can use to ask us any specific questions. You can also drop into our Discord to ask us and the community questions about Mars Horizon. The full game will have a tutorial created based on feedback from the beta. For now we’ve written a quick start guide which should introduce you to the game well enough.

[h2]I found a bug![/h2]
If you came across a bug while playing the Mars Horizon beta please report it in this bug thread on the Mars Horizon Steam page. We will be monitoring this thread throughout the beta. This should be enough information for us for many of the bugs but if we need more information we will reach out to you and request further information if you are happy to share this with us.

[h2]Finished?[/h2]
If you enjoyed the beta we'd really appreciate it if you wishlist Mars Horizon on Steam. It helps us out a lot and means you'll get notifications about the game in the future, such as when it's released and goes on sale.

We'll also be emailing you a feedback survey on 4th May. Please take a few minutes to fill it out! The survey is where you can give us your impressions of the beta and tell us what you liked and didn't like as much. You can also tell us about any bugs you came across in the survey, too.
