Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life is an authentic space management game where you take on the role of the head of a space agency on your mission to Search for Life. Building on the journeys you took in Mars Horizon, next you will become a multiplanetary space agency that is equipped to take on the ultimate question; the search for life in our solar system. Search for evidence across the solar system to prove there’s life on other planets. Manage your staff, build your bases, design and launch rockets, and plan missions. You’ll be writing a new space history every time you play.

Following on from Mars Horizon where you were able to re-write history, now you’re going to be making history. Will you be the first to find evidence of life out there?

2020’s Mars Horizon was a space flight management game where you were in charge of constructing bases, building rockets, and leading missions into the black abyss. Nate (RPS in peace) liked it quite a bit for its “masterfully crafted strategic dilemmas,” despite his findom relationship with the game. Now Mars Horizon is getting an expanded sequel, taking us to the outer reaches of the Solar System. Mars Horizon 2: The Search For Life is releasing sometime in 2024 on PC.

We have a small patch update to Mars Horizon for you!

We have:

• Updated localisation to fix errors, particularly with regard to Chinese/Japanese/Russian rocket names.
  
• Fixed an issue where your custom agency logo would be replaced with the default agency logo in a few places.

Simfest Hobby Edition 28th March - 4th April 2022 is a joint Steam & Auroch Digital event. It is a Steam festival celebrating simulation games, giving the genre opportunity to showcase all it has to offer. As there are so many games within the sim genre, the first Simfest will be the “Hobby Sim Edition”. A Hobby Sim is a simulation game that authentically simulates a hobby or job (or both!).

At Auroch Digital we've lined up a range of excellent streams and panels from games and studios doing interesting things in the simulation game space.

We are also sharing our own experience of making a job simulation game with Mars Horizon, check out the panel we are taking part in below. The panel is being looped multiple times during a 24 hour period in order to cater to different time zones. Make sure to check the schedule to find exact showing times.

[h2]🏗 Panel: What is a hobby Sim and why do people play them? 🏗[/h2]

• Date 3rd - 4th April between 6pm - 6pm UK time
• From the teams working on popular hobby and job simulation games to find out how they made the games, find out how they capture that hobby or job. Where does realism belong in this genre of games? Is it more important to simulate a hobby or job accurately, or does an idealised version suit gaming better? Find out where the line between realism and idealisation is drawn in some of your favourite hobby and job sims!
