V0.8.18 [Experiment] Branch Announcement

Hello, survivors!

Thanks to all of you, Last Wood has been updated from V0.8.1 to V0.8.17 since EA Launch.
Last Wood will absolutely not grow without of your feedbacks, criticism, and also, bug reports.

We will keep daily updating Last Wood to make it more complete, together with our community.

But, something will be a bit different from it was before.

We hope to put interesting things into game every day. But it's hard for us to cover the quality assurance work for daily major update.

Therefore, we create a test branch named [experiment].



What is branch [experiment]?

Daily update now will be shipped into this branch every day as before, after a basic round of smoke test.
And after a fully, deep test, which always lasts for a few days, changes on the [experiment] branch will be merged into public default branch.

How do I switch to branch [experiment]?

Open your Steam Library, Find "Last Wood", Right-Click on it. Select "Properties", switch to "BETAS" tab.
Enter this code to get access to [experiment] : lastwood2019
Select the branch "experiment - public branch for experiment", and close the window.

Should I switch to branch [experiment]?

It's highly recommended to switch to branch [experiment] for those players who are willing to help translate Last Wood in other languages, who want to know Last Wood more and could bear bugs, who are willing to get involved deeply in development of Last Wood.

Otherwise, it's better to stay on public default branch.

Then is it still updated daily on public default branch?

Of course. But contents will be late for a few days to merge into public default branch.

The following are patch notes for V0.8.18:
  1. Limbs.



  2. Survivors could raid storage boxes on floating rafts now.
  3. Copy-paste tools for equipment scheme, limbs scheme, priority scheme, storage settings.
  4. a copy-paste tool for build an existing building quickly.
  5. Increase the water flow force.
  6. Survivors will level up automatically when there are no trials.
  7. Press Left Shift to batch construct buildings.
  8. Add two recipes about fish.
  9. Refinement of shooting animations.
  10. It's easier to get blood now.
  11. Refinement of looking at animations.
  12. Fix the issue that baskets work improperly.
  13. Fix the issue that chemical machine couldn't be supplied properly.

V0.8.17 Patch Notes

  • Increase the produce rate of sand in Water Filter.
  • Adjust the building cost of wind vane.
  • Adjust the value of fish bone sword.
  • Fix the issue that some of the attribute display incorrectly.
  • Fix the issue that when save/load rain collectors will lose some progress.
  • Adjust the perk "Broaden Trade"
  • Fix the bug that fishnets could be built on second floor.
  • Fix the bug that advance bed is not count as bed when put in a bedroom.
  • Fix the issue that room type refreshing is delayed sometimes.

  • Camera could be moved more far away now.
  • You could build lemon trees with no wood, meanwhile, a lemon tree produces less.
  • Lemon juice could be made without water.
  • Fix a UI issue about building tooltip.
  • Fix an issue might cause some skill trials could not be triggered properly.
  • Fix an issue about room panel.
  • Merge translation texts into game from community. (Thanks to all community translators)
  • Reduce the negative effect when survivors are in pregnancy.
  • Refinement about item panel on the left.
  • Configuration of new item on storage panel follows its category.
  • Reduce the negative effect after survivors' with certain perk exhausted swimming.
  • Fix an display issue that pile stays on the ground even sold to traders.
  • Now survivors will find food to meet their thirst first, then find water.

V0.8.15 Patch Notes

  • Fix the issue that unable to command a survivor to help another drown one.
  • Now middle mouse button could be used to translate camera.
  • Fix the issue that room won't regenerate after a wall is replaced.
  • Fix some minor issues in building list and priority panel.
  • Add a toggle to hide all auto-save data on the save data file list panel.
  • Press "B" on outfit panel to add ten times of an item into survivors' backpack.
  • Waterpump won't consume water anymore.
  • Material name will be shown on craft tooltips and building tooltips.
  • Fix an issue might cause survivors loop in dropping and picking up something.
  • Change the texture for doors on islands.
  • Fix an issue might cause a second or higher floor to be flooded.

V0.8.14 Patch Notes

  • You could select a batch of rot floors or crops to switch auto chop or not.
  • Sand will also be produced as a by-product by WaterFilter.
  • Fix an issue might cause survivors dyspepsia don't recover.
  • Feeding materials to cook buildings is now categorised in Cook priority.
  • Increase carry count for survivors.
  • Click an item on the left panel, the camera will automatically go where it is (either carried on a survivor, stored in a building, or on the ground)
  • Fix an issue might cause survivors won't supply seawater.
  • Fix an issue might cause a crash under a certain rare case.
  • Increase the probability an automata drops steam core.
  • Add displays for beauty on building panel.
