Closing of steam festival! - PLAY NOW!

Hello everyone,

Firstly, we at Ironward would like to thank everyone who has downloaded and played the demo as well as giving us all the feedback you have! AND because you have been having so much fun and so helpful that we have decided to bring you an update for the game. We have listened to what you have been telling us and decided to bring out a patch fixing some of the bugs in the game PLUS added some new content!

The Patch is LIVE!

NEW CONTENT:
- Added The Grand Hunt mission on Veteran and above difficulty at wave 13. Fancy a challenge? The mission adds an entirely new boss "Ker" into the game, have fun trying to defeat this one!
- Added a new Vindicator weapon which does devastating energy damage in AOE – be VERY careful with this weapon when causing mayhem and destruction near your squaddies!



Vindicator
- Secondary weapon that does energy damage
- Cooldown between each shots
- Can be overcharged by consuming power cell
- Destroys everything. Like… Everything…

Change log
- Cluster radius will not damage friendlies in the area and detonate all explosives
- Added Vindicator weapon
- Fixed bug in cohesion showing wrong values, made it to always have a minimum 6 second duration
- Detonator skill will properly increase explosives multiplier on top of amplify skill (going above the multiplier damage cap, allows for big very booms)
- Seismic resonator will burrow Holers on placement (doesn't need to be suppressed)
- Resonator now has 50 power requirement
- Added “First Contact” mission
- Fixed bug in monster samples mission
- Moved stun requirement to later rank
- Reduced item damage rank requirement to 15k
- Fix for infinite bullets for Hastac
- Ghouler HP regeneration set to 50
- Desecrator pack leader max suppression set to 40
- Minigun upgrade no longer gives free ammo on upgrade (sorry!), suppression doubled
- Fix for invisible Fat Zombie
- Fix for Holers not attacking
- Minimap camera view should be more accurate
- Fix for moth not doing attacks (distance based)
- Possible Holer fix for when underground

The begining of Steam Festival - PLAY NOW!

We finally have the news you have all been waiting for… today is the start of the Autumn Steam Festival!

What does that mean for you? Well you can now download and play a playable demo of Red Solstice 2: Survivors! For those who played it during the summer you will be pleased to find the game has gone through vigorous testing, updates and improvements as well as a BUNCH of new stuff for you to check out!

New Map Terrain
We have mixed up the way maps look! New sections for you and your team to explore as you purge the surface of mars from the mutated horrors that hunt you down. See if you can spot them all on your journeys!

New Class & Skills
This one we are very excited about; the Demolition Class is now playable! Do you like explosions? Do you like to evaporate your foes? Then the Demolition Class is for you! Specializing in ordnance deployment, the Demolition Mark VI usually engages targets of exceptional size or extreme armour configurations. They also devastate environments with ease, destroying cover, walls, doors… and just about everything else! Also we have added some new skills to the other existing classes in the game so make sure to try them all!

New Monsters
New Monsters? OH YES! Variety is the spice of life and we decided that Mars could be a little bit more horrifying! Moths, Drillers, Holers and also the Etaphreven. Also watch out for other Marines! These dude serve a different master and do not align with the same interests as you.

New Maps
Finally you can try out our two new maps Swamp & Mining Colony! Those who followed us during the PAX/EGX Online festival will already know how unforgiving these can be. Be sure to stay together as you roam the battlefield and defend against waves of enemies!

New Weapon
The Handcannon. A trusty side arm to aid you with blasting holes through mutated scum. This pistol holds up to 12 rounds and has a small range. It has devastating kinetic damage.

New Missions
Exciting new missions have been added to keep you and your team occupied as you try to survive. Monster Samples, Landing, Meltdown, Guardian Angel, Artillery, Ambush, Emergence Holes, Raining Metal and Gas Pressure. That should keep you busy, right?

Bestiary
Want to know how to bring down the biggest and baddest monsters? Head over to the Bestiary and brush up on your knowledge! Find out the weaknesses of each beast, it will aid you well and help you survive on this unforgiving mission.

Red Solstice 2 - Opening steam festival stream!

Greetings Marines!

We are super excited to announce we will be a part of the Steam Autumn Festival next week! It’s a great opportunity for us all to get a little closer to each other as a community and for us to showcase what it is we have been working on!

To celebrate this event, we have prepared a demo version of The Red Solstice 2: Survivors for you to all try. It will show you a lot of the features that you can expect from the final version of the game! As part of the demo you and up to 7 other people will be able to tackle the harsh and unforgiving terrain of Mars with the new Demolition class!

Throughout the festival the Ironward team we will be streaming alongside a few special guests and regulars to showcase the game and (hopefully) give you a few tips and pointers how to survive! We are happy to announce we will also be streaming more than once a day for our friends in the US time zones AND we will also be looking to stream on our Twitch page! So make sure to tune in and hang out with us! We will be answering all questions so don’t be shy!
