New/ Updated Steam Achievements
TLDR; 200 new Steam achievements were updated to better match the in-game MyPad achievements. Currently they aren't synced to reflect achievement progress in-game but the next update 5.20.3. aims to sync them. We apologize for the confusion and frustration this recent update has caused.
Hello GPGP Steam Players,
We apologize for the confusion and frustration caused with our recent Steam achievement addition. As many of you have noticed, we’ve added 200 new Steam achievements that better align and sync with the in-game MyPad achievements. To accommodate these changes, we’ve updated and changed many older Steam achievements from 2018.
[h2]A new synchronization system will roll out with the upcoming update (version 5.20.3), scheduled for release this week. This update aims to sync the newly added Steam achievements with your in-game achievements.[/h2]
We understand the frustration and confusion these changes may have caused and sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused. The upcoming update 5.20.3 focuses on core game achievements as well as ones from chapters 1 and 2.
For better transparency, we are still experiencing some challenges uploading additional achievements to Steam from the sheer number of them as well as different criteria some achievements have. We may need some additional time to figure out the seasonal event achievement implementation, but rest assured chapters 3, 4, and 5 achievements will start uploading once we confirm achievement sync in 5.20.3 are fully implemented and functioning.
We know this process has taken longer than anticipated, and we deeply appreciate your patience and support. A special thanks to everyone who has provided feedback or reported issues—your input is invaluable. While we may not always be able to respond directly, please know that we read and consider every comment and suggestion.
Looking ahead, we’re exploring ways to implement a windowed mode for the game. Unfortunately, the current design approach has proven unfeasible due to the game’s core layering structure. However, we hope to find new ways in 2025.
