Hush Hush - Only Your Love Can Save Them News

Patch Notes for 0.284

Hi everyone,

We're here with another batch of fixes for Hush Hush, hopefully squashing a few of those bugs that have been lingering. Here's what we've been up to this last week:

  • Fixed a bug that could cause some scenes to not reload properly if you reload them from within that same scene (for example, you're in Mio's first date and then you decide to load a save file that is also in the middle of Mio's first date)
  • Disabled the save/load button while in the middle of running a job or skill
  • Fixed the 'Like a Virgin', 'Wreathed in Light' and 'The Shadow's Embrace' in-game achievements
  • Imported new Lilianna assets for Mio's second date
  • Fixed a few typos and voiceover issues

Thanks for trying out our early access build of Hush Hush, and please let us know if you run into any bugs! Cheers,

- Sad Panda Programmer

Thanks again for playing Hush Hush!

Patch Notes for 0.274

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a great week so far. I'm here with a new build and the latest patch notes, we really hope you enjoy the changes!

  • Added a few keyboard shortcuts at the request of the community (tab will 'skip' just like pressing the 'skip' button, left control will skip while it is held down)
  • Added 3 different difficulty modes, which can be selected after starting a new game. Note: Any existing old saves will assume the hard difficult mode. We've also added 3 new in-game achievements and Steam achievements for these different modes.
  • Added a prompt before loading a save to avoid any misclicks
  • Fixed several typos and incorrect audio
  • Reduced the difficulty of the first week
  • Fixed a bug that caused the next stat to be awarded by the Cafe to be lost when loading a save, resulting in consistent play throughs
  • Added heart particles to the tutorial
  • Fixed a bug that would incorrectly show the easter egg text on the date completion dialog in some cases

Thanks so much for playing Hush Hush, and please send any bug reports to our support e-mail at [email protected] and we'll do our best to track them down.

Sincerely,

- Sad Panda Programmer

0.266 - Patch Notes Edition!

Hello! I'm here to provide some patch notes on what has changed in the game since our initial release version (0.256). The answer is, we've been hard at work! Here's a list of what we've done in game so far:

  • Fixed multiple issues with the gallery (unlocking or not unlocking when images should have)
  • Fixed a bug that caused two Steam achievements to not unlock correctly (buff and suave achievements)
  • Fixed a bug where the effect applied to music/sfx in the settings popup was not resetting properly if the settings popup was closed by opening the gallery
  • Fixed a bug where an A was awarded instead of an A+ when acing a date
  • Fixed a bug with Cassie's final date and one option being unavailable
  • Worked on improving the game memory footprint by unloading unused assets when transitioning to the maps screen
  • Split assets up to improve loading performance in some cases
  • Tried to improve loading performance and hangs while loading
  • Fixed several typos and audio issues

We've got more patches in the works, and we'll likely have a new build for you to try out tomorrow. Thanks so much for playing Hush Hush!

Great launch day!

Thanks everyone who downloaded our game on day 1 - that was an incredible feeling being able to finally release this game to the world! We really appreciate all the feedback, bug reports, and reviews we’ve been receiving. We wanted to give you an update on what we’re doing next to address all this awesome feedback:

  • Bug fixing - If you find anything wonky, please post it on the steam forums, or email [email protected] We’re trying to prioritize the bigger bugs first and have already deployed a few new builds to fix up some things players have reported to us. You’re awesome!

  • Improve U/X - There are some areas that still need cleaning up with the UI, UX, and userflow so we’ll be looking at those after the bug fixes. Many players have given some great suggestions for things we can do to improve these items. Like for example, did you know you could click the phone messages to have them appear faster? Yeah! (that should probably be explained somewhere in the UI…lol)

  • Balance - Some feedback has highlighted the game’s difficulty, so we are working to soften some of the balance. As a sidenote, we can track which endings players are running into the most and it seems to be Cassie’s Pizza death, so we’ll start by making her route less punishing! We’re also wanting to add some stats to the end screens showing what % of players have run into the same bad end.

  • Polish - Since launch, we’ve already made improvements to how the assets are streamed into the game, so the filesize is lighter and load time goes quick! We've still got a few art polish tasks we need to fix up, so you might notice some visual improvements in future builds.

  • Audio - There are a few audio files that aren’t playing so we’ll track down what’s going on with those, and will adjust the filter on the ones players report as sounding too quiet/too loud.

We've also pinned a thread for the most commonly asked questions, which you can find here. We'll keep adding to it as we receive more questions from players.

Thanks for playing Hush Hush and letting us know what you think! It’s very humbling seeing how many people are in-game, and everyone helping us find bugs/things we can improve is amazing!!
We love you so hard,
~Sad Panda
