THANK YOU! Sunsetting the Combat Demo

Greetings, PRETENDERS,

It’s time for us to bid farewell to the Combat Demo. Your first introduction to EREBUS, ANTARKTA, led you to meet HATCHLING, HOPPER, or even GARRISON in the guts of a devastated wasteland. You had to learn the hard way to master ARTIFACT, ANTIOCH, INTERLOPER, OCELOT, SWANSONG, and the mighty BISMARCK. And now you think you’ve made your way in UNYIELDER?

This is not the end of the road.

This is just the beginning.

New Intel will drop in a few days. New places to fight. New bosses to dominate. New perks and new weapons to overcome the toughest challenges. New answers to your questions.

The path to the Truth is long. Thank you for coming alongside.

Will you survive?

Stay tuned. Stay sharp. Get ready for the next challenge.

TOOLS OF DESTRUCTION - ANTIOCH

Antioch is a powerful grenade-launcher. It uses special ammo to launch unique grenades: they can stick to the surfaces and have a delayed explosion, or to explode in contact. While its primary shot fires three rounds that bounce and detonate with time, the secondary shot fires a single sticky shot that explodes on release - or whenever Antioch is empty. You may want to use the primary shot when escaping and leave a deadly path behind you. Just make sure to stay away from the area of effect: as with the Bismarck, Antioch can be deadly to you too.

Antioch is not your regular grenade launcher. Its power will get even stronger if you master the environment and stick the right grenade at the right place and the right time. Since its reloading time is quick, while dealing a lot of damage, Antioch is a very precious ally. Keep an eye on your ammo, though, it can be very quick to be depleted.

Depending on your style, we suggest using Antioch with Interloper and Swansong for a good mix between DPS and movement if you have a good aim, or Ocelot and Artifact if you’re opting for a more aggressive build.

TOOLS OF DESTRUCTION - INTERLOPER - SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL

With its high fire rate, Interloper is a great weapon to start with. Using light ammo, this semi-automatic pistol will balance an aggressive but slower build with Artifact and Bismarck for instance.

You may be tempted to empty your magazine on the enemy, but keep your sight on the target: Interloper’s recoil can surprise you. You might want to train before jumping into your next fight equipped with this bad boy.

You can quickly fire it to your target to reposition or counter the boss, or wait for the right moment to use the secondary fire: the charged shot. With its damages based on the amount of bullets you have left in your magazine, it goes well with a perk increasing the mag capacity. Beware of the downside: it consumes the entire mag and has a short delay before shooting.

So lock and load, stay steady, and go show them who’s the boss.

TOOLS OF DESTRUCTION - BISMARCK

The Bismarck is pure destruction in your hands. This single-shot cannon delivers devastating power with special ammo, dealing a significant amount of damage in its area of effect. Precision isn’t its goal—chaos is.

However, its power comes with a trade-off: a long reload time. Timing is key, so pair it with a quick-firing weapon like the Interloper or Ocelot to cover your reload and maintain control at all ranges. Use it during critical moments, when the boss is stunned and – for a short time – vulnerable, to take the advantage.

Keep your distance—the Bismarck’s blast is indiscriminate, and a mistimed shot could hurt you as much as your target. Master its potential, and you’ll become a battlefield legend.

Lock, load, and unleash chaos—are you ready to dominate?

Tools of Destruction - Swansong

Greetings, Pretender. Here's the time for another guide! Introducing Swansong, the perfect weapon for dominating from a distance while staying agile and aggressive. Its immense damage output and versatility make it a tool for both precise and bold play.

Immense Damage Without Aiming

The main fire deals massive damage, even without aiming, making it perfect for quick, reactive shots in close-to-mid-range combat.

Scoped Multi-Shot

Holding right-click lets you fire multiple rounds, increasing your chances to hit moving or distant targets.

Repositioning Power

After each shot, reposition to stay unpredictable. Swansong rewards mobility and smart angles.

Long-Range Precision

Ideal for staying safe while eliminating threats from a distance.

Always keep an eye on the distance and spot the perfect timing to breach the bosses. With the right balance between repositioning and aggression, Swansong is your best friend to dominate the battlefield. While it can be long to reload, always keep with you a revolver or a handgun to mitigate any surprise attacks from the bosses, and rule Erebus with your own vision.
