Going forward with development
It had to be done, I rebuilt the entire game. I want everyone to keep in mind that this is my first game, with no prior game development experience before this, with that being said, the state of the game on the live build for the past few months has been broken in many areas. Code and major updates to Unity made even more issues with repairing and adding to what I had already. After a few months of frustration, I decided that in order for me to make the game better and be able to work on it again, the game would have to be rebuilt from the ground up. So that's what I have been doing, rebuilding BugOut in an updated unity engine, with completely different code. I want to make a great survival game and want to build a community around that game, that will give suggestions and feedback to make it better.
Yesterday I removed the old version of BugOut from Steam and replaced it with the new version ( 3.1.18 ), the new version still needs a lot of work, but the gameplay is much better. The purpose of EA is for testing and building the game, and that's what I will be using it for. There will no longer be a testing branch or experimental branch, only one branch, the main default that everyone can get. From now on updates will always be posted, if you really want to get involved you can join our Discord, I am in there most of the week.
So this is like a fresh start, the game has minimal gameplay at the moment, but that will change very quickly, if you want to be part of the rebuild and put your suggestions in, then join our community https://discord.gg/bumV5rVvPM
Thanks to everyone that has hung in there and supported me so are, many many thanks.
