Join Us In Supporting Ukraine!

Pilots!

This is a big one for us—as a company and as a team. Here at Wargaming, we love war games, but we loathe war. Over the past year and a half, we've been especially sensitive to the war in Ukraine, as one of our studios still operates from Kyiv. They work hard on developing and maintaining World of Warplanes, delivering features and events to World of Tanks, and producing incredible amounts of artistic content for all our games. All that despite the horrors their country is enduring every single day.󠀲󠀧󠀠󠀠󠀩󠀦󠀨󠀩󠀳

Starting today, we welcome our community across six of our games to unite around this global initiative.󠀲󠀧󠀠󠀠󠀩󠀦󠀩󠀣󠀳󠀰 World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks Modern Armor, World of Warships, and World of Warships: Legends—each game will feature special Ukraine-themed bundles with customization elements crafted by the artists at our Kyiv studio.󠀲󠀧󠀠󠀠󠀩󠀦󠀩󠀤󠀳󠀰 With these time-limited offers, not only will you show your support, but you will also get valuable in-game content.

For World of Warplanes, we have prepared three bundles that you can purchase to participate. The Antonov M Masha is a true Ukrainian aircraft in World of Warplanes—a mighty, speedy, and beautiful Tier IX fighter to rule the skies!󠀲󠀧󠀠󠀠󠀩󠀧󠀠󠀣󠀳󠀰 Make your choice: an emblem for all your aircraft inspired by the coat of arms of Ukraine; a unique decoration set for the Antonov M, created specifically for the WargamingUnited project; or the largest support package that includes all the options above, as well as the warplane itself. World of Warplanes has been developed entirely by our Kyiv studio for over a decade and is still actively worked on by the team in the capital of Ukraine. For more details, please visit our website.

We will donate 100% of proceeds* from sales of each WargamingUnited bundle to UNITED24, the official fundraising platform of Ukraine, for them to buy Type C ambulances that will take on the duty of saving lives.

Update 2.1.24

Pilots!

On October 12, from 08:00 to 12:00 UTC, the servers will undergo maintenance to deploy Update 2.1.24.

New Aircraft
Update 2.1.24 introduces a brand-new reward aircraft:
  • Martin-Baker MB 5, a British Tier VII fighter

Martin-Baker MB 5 was the ultimate result of a programme ordered by the British Air Ministry to develop a replacement fighter for the Spitfire and Hurricane. It was expected to be capable of flying faster than 400 miles per hour and be well armed to serve in a variety of combat roles. Designed from the ground up, the MB 5 featured a new Rolls-Royce Griffon engine, a contra-rotating propeller scheme, and four wing-mounted 20-mm Hispano autocannons. The prototype was built in 1944 and was considered to be superior to Supermarine Spitfire by its test pilots. Unfortunately, it was not ready for mass production quickly enough before the Air Ministry's focus shifted towards jet-powered aircraft, and eventually the project was abandoned.

In World of Warplanes, Martin-Baker MB 5 is a fast and maneuverable fighter with a characteristically easy to use medium-range autocannon armament. It has a significant speed advantage over its Spitfire counterparts at Tier VII, which allows it to dictate the terms of engagement to a wider score of enemies. Its autocannons remain characteristically comfortable to use in close-range dogfights and medium-range combat, boasting good damage, range, rate of fire, and accuracy. However, the Martin-Baker MB 5 will require a bit more care and piloting skill from the player to fully reveal its combat potential, as, being a prototype, it is more prone to critical damage and fires.

To earn this warplane, you'll need to participate in the upcoming game event.

North American P-51D Josephine: Start Your Engines!

Pilots!

From September 13 at 11:20 UTC through October 11 at 11:20 UTC, a chain of 25 missions awaits you. For their completion, you'll receive a new aircraft— North American P-51D Josephine—and other valuable rewards!
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]We are honored to add this Tier VII premium US fighter to our game to commemorate the deeds of one of the last surviving combat pilots of World War II - Colonel Joseph Anthony Peterburs.

It was in the cockpit of Josephine - his trusty Mustang named after his beloved fiancée - that on April 10, 1945 Joe encountered and shot down the formidable Messerschmitt Me 262 piloted by the famed German flying ace Walther Schuck. You can learn more about that encounter, and check out our interview with the veteran at the official website.

While technically the in-game Josephine is a regular North American P-51D Mustang, it has all the advantages of a premium aircraft, with increased earnings of credits and XP in battle, and sports the top-tier armament and engine. But what makes it unique is its exclusive livery: based on the historical photographs we've obtained from multiple sources, including Joe Peterburs himself, it provides a hefty set of advantages in battle:
  • Concealment: +20%
  • Resistance to damage from AA guns: +10%
  • Resistance to damage from gunners: +5%
  • Aircraft XP: +8%
  • Chance to cause fire: +15%
Note:
You may skip missions of the marathon by purchasing certificates in the Premium Shop.
Only Tier IV–X aircraft can take part in the event.

You can find more details about the chain of missions on our official portal!

Keep completing marathon missions on your favorite warbirds to grab all the event's rewards! Don't have time to complete all the missions? Just visit the Premium Shop and purchase certificates to speed up the completion of the in-game event!

Update 2.1.23

Pilots!

On August 16, from 08:00 to 12:00 UTC, the servers will undergo maintenance to deploy Update 2.1.23.

New Aircraft
Update 2.1.23 introduces a brand-new reward aircraft:
  • North American P-51D Josephine, an American Tier VII fighter

This aircraft is a tribute to one of World War II's last surviving combat pilots—the USAF Colonel Joseph Anthony Peterburs. He has flown 49 missions over Europe since 1944, piloting his trusty Mustang named after his beloved fiancée Josephine. On April 10, 1945, Joe was escorting a huge bomber raid toward Berlin when a Messerschmitt Me 262 swooped down on the B-17s, wreaking havoc on the formation and destroying four aircraft. Having an altitude advantage over the "Swallow," Joe dove at his target and opened fire with his machine guns, riddling the wing and engine with bullets. The Me 262 disengaged and withdrew inside cloud cover, and its pilot, famed German flying ace Walther Schuck, bailed out. Over half a century later, during Schuck's visit to the United States in 2005, Joe Peterburs had the opportunity to meet and befriend his former enemy, discussing the details of that short but fateful encounter. They remained close friends until Walther Schuck's passing in 2015.

To earn this warplane, you'll need to participate in the upcoming game event.

New Achievement

Added a new achievement that can be earned in the upcoming event.
