Sherlock Holmes has foiled Dr Black’s criminal machinations on so many occasions that when the Baker Street Irregulars reported that Black wanted Sherlock dead, Dr Watson took heed with deadly seriousness. Perhaps he took advantage of an opportunity to put a stop to Black’s dark deeds, and save his friend?

Dr Black helped Professor Moriarty with one of his nefarious schemes. Black thought himself an equal, but he was merely a pawn in Moriarty’s great game. Perhaps Black knew too much, and was a loose end for Moriarty to tie up?

Sherlock has foiled Dr Black's nefarious plots so many times in the past that it’s no surprise that Black wanted him dead. But if one comes at the consulting detective, one had better not miss.
