McQueen Must Die! The New Darkside Bonus Case Goes Live on Christmas Eve!

Hey, Detectives!

Whelp. This is it. This is the end, Detective Francis McQueen must die. Now, you might be saying: "Buddy, there's two more bonus cases after this one, obviously this isn't the end!" And that I'd just like to ask you please don't tell anyone else that because I'm trying to milk this fake death for all its worth.

Ghosts of Christmas Passed goes live on December 24th, Christmas Eve! It includes a new case with a new mystery to solve, a new minigame to puzzle over and more things to point at and/or click on.

Anyway, that's it, that's the post, come hang out in The Spooky Doorway Discord if you wanna chat with me or the devs!

Nominate The Darkside Detective: AFITD for the Labor of Love Steam Award!

Hey, Detectives!

This year, I'm thankful I was able to save Officer Dooley from the Darkside Dimension, thankful I get to the robotic circus and thankful that I could see my favorite wrestler El Doolio.

And since I have the power to write a big ol' announcement for the Steam Awards, I'm writing a big ol' announcement for the Steam Awards! It's my pleasure to endorse The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark for the Labor of Love category, since we're definitely not in this for the money. For those of you who don't pay attention to the esoteric rules of the Steam Awards, players like you can nominate your favorite games for awards like Sit Back and Relax, Best Game You Suck At and Better With Friends. Each game can only win for one category, so we wanted to officially point you all in the direction of the Labor of Love category and go "that one!"

If you're sharing robotic turkey (this joke won't make sense 'til the next case is out, remember it!) with friends or family you're thankful for, might I recommend sharing The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark with them as well? There's a Steam Sale starting right when this post goes live so it's never been a better time to show your family this game so they understand all the weird Bloodwolves references you keep making.

As always, thanks for playing and hope you have a great holiday!

-Buddy

P.S. If you wanna know why the cover image for this announcement is so garish and weird, that wasn't made by me. It was made by Miguel on the Twitter, blame him.

Very minor update

We removed an engine splash screen that showed up when starting the game.

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark Trading Cards Now Available!

Hey, detectives!

Good news! Trading Cards are now available for your favorite Detective series featuring a clown named Shingles! (Any relation to other Detective series featuring a clown named Shingles are purely coincidental.) There are five cards that you can earn when you're looking in bins for items, frantically clicking all over the screen because of a puzzle you can't solve, or groaning at some of the games many, many puns!

If you want to get trading, head over to our Steam Discussion threads to try and make matches!
