Patch v0.9.9.19 is live!

Hey all! We are working hard to roll out more fixes thanks to feedback, bug reports, and playing the game with everyone. Hope to see you all in-game!

This patch will require a server update, so make sure you grab this update to be able to join servers without issue.
The fastest way you can grab the update is to either restart Steam to grab the update, or Verify Integrity of Game Files in the game's properties.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with MR96 where the mag was hard to grab out of the gun

  • Fixed the milk bottle not breaking when thrown

  • Fixed stationary targets in the shooting range not recieving hit effects

  • Fixed issue with guns randomly holstering when walking near walls

  • Fixed smoke effect getting stuck for Quest Alpha users

  • Fixed Flash bangs causing a performance stutter at specific distances when detonating

  • Fixed Flash bang getting stuck for Quest Alpha users

  • Fixed Virtual Crouch headset wobble issue

  • Fixed an issue that caused players to sometimes spawn slightly crouched

  • Fixed Ammo Counter stuck inside of the gun for left handed users


Other Changes

  • MR96 damage buff. It will now 1 hit kill when you hit the upper torso at any range

  • Removed Ping feature

  • You can now eject mag with your off hand while gripping the gun

  • Reduced the enemy highlight thickness based on player feedback

  • Improved APC9Pro's Charging Handle to be slightly easier to grab

Patch v0.9.8.0 is live!

We had some rough issues we wanted to address going into the weekend found in the previous build. Thank you all for the bug reports on the discord!

This will need a server update so make sure you grab this update to get the changes and are able to join servers without issue.

Bug Fixes
  • Reverted fix for being able to combine VCrouch and PhysCrouch movements. It was causing very bad things and we are going to readd the fix once we confirm it won't break stuff.

  • Fixed a crash related to tacticals

  • Fixed issue with spawning with invisible tacticals after changing loadouts

  • Fixed Miru text signs that were hard to read at a distance/looked blurry

  • Improved the character bullet hit effects slightly on Low settings

  • Adjustments to spawn points on Cliffside

Improvements
  • Improved grab/enemy highlights

  • Improved shell ejection animations (AK12 is FINALLY using 5.45x39 ammo visually)

    Added SRO Tall option to the MR96 Bolt Action so controllers on internal tracking don't lose tracking because the sight was too close to your hands/controllers.

  • Performance tweaks to Scopes on Quest Alpha (More may be needed, but this is for testing)

  • Added more snapturn setting values between 15-45 degrees

  • Added settings option to disable binding for firemode selector

  • Various map fixes and improvements

  • Crouching/crabwalk sync fixes

  • Fixed VCrouch getting stuck forcing you to "toggle crouch"

  • Fixed being able to double physical crouch and VCrouch for super crouch speeds

  • Fixed issue where tacticals are sometimes not able to be forcegrabbed

  • Fixed issue where Armory tips shows the wrong bindings on Quest Alpha

Please Note:
  • Some of the Height Calibrator art is disabled for now, but it still works. Make sure to look forward until it goes away for now. We will fix this going forward.

  • Being Flashed or dieing in Smoke can get stuck on screen for Quest Alpha users, we are currently looking into a fix.

  • For Quest Alpha users, it is not asking for permissions on startup to be able to use your mic in-game. You will have to manually set the app permisiions to allow that until we get Meta's permission popup working.

Update v0.9.2.8 is live

Servers have been updated, so make sure to grab the update before trying to join!

This update has mostly been focused on minor bug fixes and major performance improvements as we continue to prepare for Quest.

Change Notes
-Fixed bug that caused you to sometimes spawn outside of the world, inside objects, or outside of the spawn area.
-Fixed playerneames not displaying in lobbies
-Fixed once again being able to holster other players
-Dot marking teammates behind walls is now larger
-Vstock 1 and 2 tweaked to account for changes caused by OpenXR move
-Medium and High Firearm Motion Smoothing settings adjusted medium is slightly more, high is much more now
-Fixed a bug that could get you stuck inside certain objects
-Reduced the likelihood of guns falling off of ragdolls falling through the world
-Various minor map fixes
-More optimization

We've DOUBLED Performance

Over the last several weeks we've been working hard on optimizing every single aspect of the game and we've successfully cut the frame time in half compared to a build from early 2022. This means that if you were getting 72 FPS in early 2022, you would now be able to get 144 FPS with the same setup.

Because of this focus on performance and stability, there aren't that many new exciting features to talk about. But if you haven't played VAIL much in UE5, now is the time to jump back in! This is the closest we've ever been to being as stable as UE4.27.

We've recently launched our brand new pick-up games bot in Discord!

Use this bot to find players to play against and earn BBB! You'll earn BBB for winning or losing, and you'll be able to use the BBB to get exclusive skins. Join the Discord to learn more!

  • Improved Match Outcome screens (victory/defeat)
  • Improved match state timer (warmup, match starting)
  • TTK adjustments on rifles
  • Damage increased on MR96 bolt action
  • Enemy Highlights improved and fixed
  • Teammate highlights are reduced to a dot to improve performance
  • Virtual Desktop controller grip bindings fixed
  • Pico controller bindings fixed
  • Tacticals/Grenades no longer go through thin walls and terrain.
  • Fixed issue where scopes were not perfectly accurate at long ranges
  • Increased magnification of some of the scopes slightly
  • Reticles are now consistently zeroed at 15m instead of 20m This means that in the shooting range and in play, Bullets are less likely to hit lower than your reticle due to the height of your sight making them feel more precise
  • Increased MK418 recoil while moving and shooting to bring it more in line with other ARs
  • Fixed stutters when shooting objects for the first time
  • Guns and mags now fall to the ground with the character to reduce the amount of physics, gaining a significant performance increase on player death
  • Added more performant Low graphics settings
  • Various performance improvements to backend systems
